Mika is my favorite player, but this is such a weird one. I'd love to see a replay of Pelech prior to the contact. Mika clearly looks up and sees him. I think they were both trying to do the same thing. Pelech kind of stops coasting forward and turns in to him right before contact. But Mika is probably trying to catch him, too. Just odd
IMO its intentional. In the original broadcast there was a higher angle of the collision. You can see the Isles player take a sly look in the corner in his eye at Mika. He then continues his path with his arm up to hit him. Obviously it won't get called because of how subtle it was. Either way it was a fun game can't wait for Saturday
Was this play before or after the Zibanejad Slew Foot on Palmieri? If it is after I could see it as payback from Pelech! If not then maybe thats why Zibanejad slew foots Palmieri lol either way NYR are always dirty so don't make them look innocent ever!

Peter is wrong. That wasn't a vicious shoulder-elbow check from Pelech, it was a vicious head-face check from Mika.
