Please give a minute for the man responsible for the Devils drafting Scott Niedermayer. The people on the backend rarely get love, but they are integral for shaping the team, and this man had his hand in some great teams. He was a good Devil.

I wish we knew more about these guys. I get that most of their picks will be busts and nobody wans scouts getting doxxed because their picks don’t work out but itwould be cool to be able to better judge some of the most important building blocks the organization has. Without good scouts, what would we be doing?
Anyway, rant over, RIP Mr. Dirk, scouts are the franchise and we’ve been very blessed!
