  1. Stone's injury was live in-season. It wasn't delaying a surgery til the start of the season. It was a 8-10 week recovery per doctors and guess what – it's week 9.

  2. I love the wrestling analogy/meme. It's like game one of the playoffs right before puck drop, Mark Stone's entrance music starts playing and the crowd goes wild, the announcers are stunned, "MARK STONE OMG, MARK STONE HAS RETURNED!"

  3. I dislike his comment that it ruins the integrity of the game, it's within the rules and his injury recovery is right on schedule… Other teams can do this too just as Tampa Bay did it

  4. Yeah let's get rid of our captain and almost miss the playoffs so we can pick up a couple of guys who are essentially nobodies, so we can spend more money than other teams. #4dchess

  5. You can literally watch the day he was injured on a hit. Was it lucky in it's timing? Yep. Was it real? Yep. Don't like the LTIR rule? Have the owners and GM's change it. They have the option to do so EVERY YEAR. Frank says it damages the integrity of the game. Fix the suspension penalties first then talk to me about the LTIR rule. When Stone went on LTIR there were around 16 teams at the time who were over the cap.

  6. Three straight years, Stone goes on LTIR at roughly the same time. 3 straight years, Stone recovers a week before the playoffs. Vegas missed the playoffs on the first. There is a such thing as coincidence, but three years in a row? Come on…

  7. Everybody knew when he was placed on IR for the remainder of the season, that Vegas would go on a shopping spree and that he would return for game 1 of the playoffs! It was obvious. F them I hope they get swept in the first round and that Stone gets hit hard every time he is near the puck.

  8. If he had 5-10 games to get ready for the playoffs, it would be more suspicious. If this didn't happen every year for teams like Vegas and Tampa where guys are seemingly suffering from near-career ending ailments and then magically are 100% by playoff time, then it would be less suspicious. I don't think guys like Stone who are wildly competitive would voluntarily take themselves out for almost an entire season, but then again, if they thought it would help them win a Stanley Cup, they'd probably consider it.

  9. The same folks who believe the moon landing is faked, think there's no way Vegas could pull off faking an injury! 😂😂😂😂

  10. The issue is that mark stone COULD HAVE BEEN READY BEFORE the season ENDED, but they waited until the year ended to activate him. That’s the problem! They’re over extending how hurt he is

  11. It will always be known they have cheated to win the cup and get players signed at the end of the year. I know it subtle cheating but 10 million is 2 really good players being added to their roster

  12. Doesn’t matter if the timeline was purposeful or not its a stupid rule. No other sport does this. Why should a team have to face an opponent with a 10 million dollar cap advantage at the most important time of the year, there is zero justification for that. Injuries happen all the time in sports, why should a team be allowed to fill that players cap space in free agency only for that player to return conveniently a week before the playoffs.

  13. "Competitive Integrity" are exactly the right words. The owners and Players association don't seem to care to fix this but us fans that pay the bills do. I am no longer going to be spending my hard earned dollars and time following something that is no longer about sport and completely lacks integrity. Maybe when they start losing dollars someone will see this as an issue that needs correcting.

  14. I love what Vegas does. They aren't breaking any rules and they are trying to win. Every fan base wishes their management would do it too.

  15. Any one in vegas can fake an injury with AI and not so honest people helping them who says the xrays or reports are for said person on LTIR? anything can be faked nowadays

  16. It’s unfair especially when Canadian teams who treat the game with class don’t stoop to this kind of dishonest cap manipulation
