Not sure if this is supposed to give me confidence or scare me.

Seems about fair, I might even go 75-25 for us. We’ll have a better idea Saturday but upsets happen as we saw last year and while I believe we are a better team than the Islanders, there are a million examples of the better team not winning a series.
Guys just need to take it one game at a time. Coach Rod will know exactly what to say and do to get us there, so I am confident we prevail in 5 or 6 games. The Islanders will put up a fight but this doesn’t have the makings of a Boston-Florida meeting in my eyes, the Islanders are on a good stretch but nowhere near the hot streak Florida was on while we are playing our best hockey right now.

I’m a ranger fan here hoping we get to play you guys again next round— but theres something about this matchup that screams trap. This isles team is horrible to watch and I think they should get swept but there’s something about this matchup that worries me

Not inclined to put much stock in this either way.
I think it’s clear we’re the better team, but playoffs are not the time to underestimate an opponent and hold back. If we play our game and execute well, we should beat them comfortably. If we don’t, they can beat us. In Rod we trust.
