6:02 You're adding a bunch of extra steps here. Right now Pittsburgh has 88 points, Philly and Minnesota have 87, Washington and Detroit have 89. If Pittsburgh loses in regulation, Philly beats Washington in any manner, and Minnesota gets at least a point the Penguins' pick would be number 12.
Washington would have 89 or 90 points, Philly would have 89 points, Detroit would have 89-91 points, Pittsburgh would have 88 points, and Minnesota would have either 88 or 89 points but they have the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh (both have 32 regulation wins, 36 regulation/overtime wins, but Pittsburgh has 38 wins and Minnesota has 39).
Edit: I get that the scenario you mentioned is for the Flyers to reach the playoffs, but we don't care about them making the playoffs, just them passing the Pens and keeping them from taking the last spot.
Where would the pick land if Detroit made the playoffs?
