Now the regular season is only about Matthews’ individual goal scoring record – will this regular season only be remembered for Auston failure to score 70 goals?
That is what it looks like. Why weren’t Leafs Executives and Fans not content with 69 goals?

Red Wings fan here (so kind of a disappointed neutral at this point☹️), just posting to say that despite: the Maple Leafs' disappointing regular season record against the Bruins; their less-than-stellar recent form in the playoffs; the pessimism of many hockey analysts AND seemingly a significant number of their own fans, etc, I personally believe that the Maple Leafs are going to make some serious noise in THIS year's SC playoffs, starting with the Boston series.
