I get tired of hearing stats about games teams have played against other teams. Oh the Balzac Billies haven’t won in car steps for 9 seasons … holy shit, the Billie’s gonna get laid out, third row, no doubt about it. It’s fucking stupid. Same reason the stats department fucked the jays in last years playoffs. Cuz it’s fucking stupid. Yes, stats are important, but at the same time, all the statistics people think the rangers are a better match up for the leafs and I think, all you stats people have never played a game of hockey, are fucking ridiculous if you think anyone can match up against the rangers and just don’t, generally, basically and fundamentally, understand how sports works. Data can only make sense when all the variables are constant and consistently constant. The St. Louis Blues were last in their division at Christmas the year they won the Stanley Cup. Everyone was like, ya we stack up good against this team cuz we beat them three times, once in October, once in November and once in December, don’t worry about that overtime loss in March, the stats don’t lie! So fucking stop lol. Of course you play Austin. Not cuz of 70 but because race horses wanna race. Thats what they do. They race horse. Dangles, you’re good at this, but at the end of the day, who gives a shit about who they play in the playoffs, who? Definitely not people who think they can win a Stanley Cup. Why not start with your biggest fears, has to get easier after that. This team is solid, I’m not worried.

My next prediction is watching Leafblowers reward their heroes by purchasing $400 jerseys and $20 beers next season and keeping them the richest team in league. Wife and I met a Canadian lady at breakfast in Barcelona about 8 years ago, told her, yep coming from London, loving the hockey, played it, never saw an NHL game in-my-life (50 years), to my surprise she offered us tickets to a Toronto game…
And after a meer 8 years of condensed hope to fear to frustration to resignation, I am finally asking myself, couldn’t she have come from some other hockey city in Canada????
If I could choose it would have been Edmonton or Vancouver, lovely city, had our honeymoon there. Finally understanding that only getting 10 minute highlights of any game here in Europe is actually a blessing. I still have a little sanity left and a lot less time wasted watching complete pain as opposed to 10 minutes of OMG!
