  1. I'm old now, as in a senior citizen, and have been a Sabre fan since their inception, so like MANY of you, I've experienced some incredibly awesome Sabre teams throughout the years. Not lately though, and frankly, it's inexcusable. I hate seeing anyone lose their job in any capacity other than, obviously, certain situations, but the fact that this organization has MISSED the post season for thirteen straight years in a league where it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to do that without actually trying to, while they just watched this team, especially this year – after all the hope of the way last season ended with them "just" missing the playoffs by one point and having this new and "awesome" young goalie (I'll admit, I knew what he was – VERY average and perhaps even below average and this is NOT a post bashing the kid – and people were only excited about him because, STUPID as it may sound to say but I truly, TRULY believe this silliness – he was young and had a really cool sounding name. Show me where I was wrong ….. kid doesn't have it) and sitting idly by while doing nothing, sits in a bad place with me. Maybe half way through the year some message should have been sent based on how bad they started and were, AS USUAL, playing, instead of doing the status quo, which is NOTHING. Not crazy about this GM at all. As USUAL, as USUAL with this team, too little too late. Always NEXT year is the usual April rallying cry. Nothing less than truly sad with a franchise with so many awesome players and seasons under its belt, regardless of NO cups in over fifty years, to have them sit on their DAMN hands all season long to just "give it a little more time" while the league laughs at us is tough to take ……………..

  2. Hope the next guy is not given so many AHL players. Kevin you’re in love with players that are not ready for the big league.

  3. you built this soft team. You paid these soft players superstar money for potential performance. Not 1 guy on that roster earned their game checks this season. You tried to save your skin Kevin and it's not going to matter who you bring in next. Get a President of hockey ops from outside the organization that you have to answer to. TP hasn't a clue.

  4. If Don Granato was an "excellent coach" he wouldn't have been fired. I wish this goof would have fired himself as well.

  5. I think Adams said everything I could have expected & wanted to hear. I know some things he cannot say, but I do believe that WE NEED TO HIT / forecheck / intimidate the opposition with planned & smart aggressiveness. I’m not looking for 12 Matt Rempes, but maybe 2? Maybe a 3rd line and 4th line vet that wins A LOT of face offs? A true Veteran Goalie that can still play and backup UPL? (Still think Levi is a year away and that is OK for a goaltender). Looking forward to hopefully seeing Lindy Ruff, Craig Berube or Joel Quenneville as the next Sabres coach.

  6. this was very, very difficult for him. and that speaks to who Kevyn is; he did what he needed to do here, and he is not soft or hesitant. he is patient and purposeful. Donny is a fantastic coach, it just wasnt good enough here and now for him. the main takeaway is the message sent to that locker room. training wheels are off, boys. time to own it, and those players are very capable of the step-up needed here.

  7. Solid presser from Adams. Said a lot of things i thought to myself. The fans who want Ruff need to move on. We need a coach from outside this organization who’s been there and done it. and who can push these guys hard.

  8. It's tough to look at this guys face and forehead when he talks. And the ugliest GM of the year award goes to…

  9. Granato probably one of the best coaches for young players but than needs to be handed off to someone else for the next level. ROD B or Lindy return. Either one but not the X st louis coach

  10. For Adams, it's "go time" on his career. If he doesn't get this coaching hire right, he'll be the next to go…

  11. My $.02: I like Adams a lot and I really think he's the right guy for the job. I think our drafting the last few years has been excellent. I love everything I hear from Jerry Forton and we're very solid in that area. Our pro personnel decisions need to be better. Whether that's on Adams or other guys on the pro personnel side (Jeremiah Crowe) is unclear, but if you look at our moves in free agency over Adams' entire tenure, they've been downright abysmal and have contributed nothing but blocking younger, more talented players. We need to hire the right coach, but if we don't also address that we're going to be building on a less than stable foundation.

  12. Adams does look more authentic than he did when he signed Taylor Hall. But, damn it, hit opponents and get it done.

  13. Buffalo needs something different, maybe a soccer coach, something out of the box. How about a Hall of Fame Former player? Maybe a previous All-star Sabre player as the next coach?

  14. We need a coach with cup pedigree. And that isn't Lindy folks. Need a new tough minded bench boss 💪

  15. This is On Pegula he put his faith and trust in hiring Kevin Adams an inexperienced GM admiitting in this pressor his own lack of experience in not so many words…just hope he finds the right coach and bring back some toughness.

  16. IT FINALLY HAPPENED!

Please bring in a coach from outside the Sabers organization that can really shake up the attitude and accountability.

  17. Please get Quenneville he is the best coach in the world just sitting there we will settle for Berube or someone that will get an A effort every night out of the boys at least someone that wants to play a physical style of hockey
