We are at the point now that if Reinbacher lives up to his potential and we get another good D in the draft this year, this team has the scoring to play with any team
Im the biggest lane hutson supporter but i dont think hes ready to take matheson spot. But when he is, whats the return on matheson? Gotta be huge.
Laval could have a great top 4 next year

Keep them all in Laval for a year minimum.

I don’t understand this Josh Anderson rejuvenation concept. Rejuvenate to what? He was never and won’t ever be a top 6 caliber player. How does he suddenly become one on a team aspiring to take a step?

Look at how many years we were in "no man's land" – not good enough to make an impact in the playoffs, but not bad enough to get a quality pick.
If everybody remains mostly healthy the Habs have enough forwards to fill up their lineup to make some good lines. I think Hughes would want to see what they can do before he decides to trade or sign a top 6 forward from outside.

But D is harder to see who fills some of the RD slots outside of Savard. Guhle I think should be put back at LD. But who to play RD with Math is hard to see. Barron would probably get a shot next season next to Math but he really needs to show that he can handle the defensive side. None of the LD have shown they can be just as effective at RD as LD and too many of them are just 3rd pairing level of talent.
