Nope, it was definitely John Elway. Nobody could've quarterback those 80s broncos to the Super Bowl but him. You put Peyton Manning on those teams. They don't get a wildcard. I love Manning but he's no John Elway.
Why not just do an all time draft? Just draft any player you want from history for that team.
With the current meta of the NFL, you really cant be drafting RB's in the first round even if they are all time greats. RB's are going to be obsolete and not used in 5 years. You can average 12 yards a play with a throw or maybe 3 with a running play, do the math. As we go to more analytic football, it just doesnt make sense to run the ball anymore. Then you couple in the head injury and injury possibilities, they won't be allowed the play. The nature of running and getting yards you lower you head a lot, outlawed very soon. This is why you see RB's going to the wayside in pay and drafting. And if you really need a RB, its true you can almost get a guy off the street to come in and give you 3 yards a carry.
the more I watch this, the worse it gets lol. Butkus wouldn't do a thing in todays NFL. Any player, playing right now is better than Butkus.
