That was the best goalie hug I’ve ever seen.

  2. TerryTenders

Put Kane out for the dog race woof woof bitch

So glad to see DeSmith hold up tonight.

The thing I keep coming back to with him: His main issue in the net seems to be confidence. Past a certain # of goals allowed, he’s likely to let 2-3 more go by too. His magic # to fall off a cliff in Pittsburgh hovered around 2, and slowly in Vancouver (and now with Šilovs as a third option to take the stress off while Demko’s out) that number’s edged closer to 3 (but 2 still feels like the start of the danger zone although far less of a sure thing than it used to be with him).

So happy to see the entire team working late to make sure that that second goal never got in there (and that empty netter as soon as Edmonton pulled was bliss)

After Hours with Corey Perry? Uh-Oh….

    (*hide your moms*)

  5. I swear every god damn oilers fan is in any canucks video on youtube crying about “first round exit” why don’t y’all worry about your own lads not getting season swept by us?? Trash meets bin 🧹🧹🧹

  6. Obvious-Property-236

Great road game. We got lucky with some non calls at the end there, but with how inconsistent officiating is, I’ll take it after games like Minnesota.

Have to get a win against Calgary so we can rest up the boys for the playoffs.

  7. shadownet97

Bro imagine getting season swept by the Canucks.

this one made me happy ngl. i’m glad desmith went out of his time as starter on a strong note (he saved us so many times tonight), and i’m so excited to see zadorov wreak havoc in the playoffs

  9. CoedNakedHockey

Casey Desmith what a game! A bit of a break did wonders for him. Full confidence heading into the postseason with him backing up Thatcher. Can’t wait to have our rock back. Casey just isn’t fit for a full workload but I love him as a backup. Hope they re-sign him tbh

Petition to only ever call Hughes “little water bug”, or “lil w bug” for short, from now on

  11. If only DeSmith got a shutout

    Dang it Fil

Man I don’t know if it’s because we have been ass cheeks for 10years, I don’t want anyone in the playoffs lol I feel like we are the team, teams want to play for the easier match up.

Edit: I should reiterate I am super excited for the sweep and how well the boys have been playing as of late just nervous about the playoffs!

  13. TheDutchin

Real character win boys we beat Vegas and edmonton at the end of the year were ready for playoffs let’s gooooo

  14. gargamelul

13 goals for Lafferty this year is better than I thought

  15. ProtoMan3

    YAAAAAAAA

Oilers fans wanna talk about PDO, suck it

  16. SlightCreme9008

I’m a non flared Canucks fan here. Good game y’all. Naturally I hate the oilers , but I hate them far less than the flames, knighrs, and kings. Every Edmontonian I’ve come across has been a solid, salt-of-the-earth person. Best of luck.

  17. nodarknesswillendure

I’m at a party and I’m drunk but we were streaming the game on my buddy’s phone. Great fucking win boys let’s go

  18. thatscope

The salt is unreal in the Oilers subreddit – couldn’t happen to nicer bunch of folks 😂

  19. Dongerated

Miller and Hughes has to be one of the top best contract in the NHL for their level of play

  20. Ashamed-Ad3909

Mmmmm oilers tears are best served before bed. Full tummy, good sleep incoming

  21. grooverocker

In Edmonton, they call Zadorov “Daddy”

  22. carry-on_replacement

despite Mikheyev not scoring, that line was really buzzing like crazy. Hoglander is still being slippery Hoglander and Petey looks like he actually cares. A bunch of seriously good looks

  23. Regular season doesn’t mean anything but it’s pretty funny that the Canucks would likely face two teams they haven’t lost to in the first 2 rounds.

  24. dattroll123

Never thought using the broomshakalaka to get rid of that oil stain would be so much fun!

  25. RegisterbecauseAaron

This dude Pickards honestly really chill

  26. JTMilleriswortha1st

First game in person since 2020. Big fucking win let’s go. DeSmith played fucking great

  27. sweethe4rt

Desmith fucking de stepped up holy shit. Actually so proud of him and you know thatcher was gassing him up after this one

  28. atomlowe

If that’s the quality of the broadcast, I may need to mute the tv and have the radio on

  29. Greenarrowfan

Have the Canucks rested player in the last game of season before playoffs. So who will be scratched? petey miller ?

  30. BrokenOfficeChair2

Big time win for us, great rebound for DeSmith, everybody played well and our defense was really good tonight. Everybody deserves some credit. (We also played the full 60.) Very entertaining, very back and forth.

Not much else I can say about it.

  31. So if Canucks win division, how do they determine which opponent they play? Do they play the first wild card team based on standing or the winner of the conference get to pick their opponent and we get the other one?
