Nathan MacKinnon for the first time in his career scores his 50th goal of the season and not but moments later, MacKinnon puts home his 7th hat-trick of his NHL career. Tonight puts MacKinnon in 2nd in the entire NHL for points at 137. MacKinnon is only the 6th player in Colorado Avalanche history to record 50 goals on a season, following Mikko Rantanen last season.

It's so nice to have national announcers who aren't biased against the Avs.
Interesting how hat trick is the one that seems to be celebrated a lot, while 50th is just, meh, someone scored 50, big deal.
"Anyone" can score a hat trick in NHL, there's nothing that special about it, while those 50 goal seasons are seriously an accomplishment.
When Nate builds up speed in the neutral zone, you are DONE. He makes everyone look slow and useless.
