San Jose Sharks Ride Mackenzie Blackwood To A Shutout Win Over The St Louis Blues, 4-0

Mackenzie Blackwood would not be denied as he stopped all 35 shots in the San Jose Sharks 4-0 win over the St. Louis Blues. Start by discussing how special Blackwood’s night was for the Sharks and if he could be in line to start eight of the last nine games for San Jose. Then, analyze the numbers behind the win and how the Sharks cobbled together a good second period and then ride Blackwood for the rest of the game for the win. Also, examine why The Lund line of William Eklund, Fabian Zetterlund, and Mikael Granlund is worth exploring for David Quinn. Finally, check in on a busy weekend of playoff action for the Sharks’ prospects, including Will Smith’s up-and-down weekend, why Quentin Musty is ready to break through with a monster game, and Luca Cagnoni’s scorching start.

  1. Cagnoni is definitely eligible to play in the AHL next year (I know you were saying you think he is, I'm just clarifying that he 100% is). The 4 seasons requirement I'm not sure on since he only played 10 games in 2020-2021, but the alternative is turning 20 by December 31st and his 20th birthday is 10 days before that.

  2. Sharks get a 4-0 shutout (Blackwood went HAM), avoid another 10 game losing streak, AND the Blackhawks also won! 😁 The only way that coulda been any better is if Binnington was in net 😅
