Jack Eichel One-Times Shot Past James Reimer For First Goal With Golden Knights
Watch as Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel scores his first goal with the team and of the season off a one-timed shot fed by Chandler Stephenson.
I see all of these comments from Vegas fan. He’s a great player. But it’s one goal. Let hope he stays healthy and focuses on taking his time. Let him explode in the playoffs. Vegas could be a problem if they’re in the playoffs. I even think they could upset the Avs. I’m a blues fan and I think if Vegas is healthy with good goaltending they could be scary.
It was a goal, but honestly Stephenson needs to pull the trigger there from that beautiful setup by Eichel. VGK are letting too many of those chances go which are potential goals; that's what's killing the offense. That was a wide pass by Stephenson, Eichel saved it to score.
So funny how when people see what buffalo fans wanted for Eichel they think they are insane then when the get a lopsided return it’s all of the sudden “OMG FLEECED THATS ALL THEY GOT??” Before the trade everyone goes “oh it’s a risky surgery why would a team give up full value for a player that may never play again!?” Now it’s “lol buffalo is so dumb, he’s fine!”
Eichels talent is undeniable, but he was thrust into a position in Buffalo he wasnt ready for. He didn't earn his Captaincy, he alienated half the locker room, and didn't make guys feel welcome it was a toxic under his leadership due to his attitude. He'll mature in Vegas under proper leadership, and he doesnt need to be the face of the franchise until he's ready. For the Sabres tho, they now have 40 mil in cap space, 3 first rounders this year. Tuch is only 25….he's a character guy added size to a smaller team. He's on a bad team posting career numbers and making guys like Thompson and Skinner better. Krebs is an elite playmaker, and the team looks like a team, their not pointing fingers and pouting (albeit while losing) given the Sabres roster due to injuries is Echl and Ahl talent this year is a wash. But I would be very surprised if given there cap space, prospects and draft capita if they don't make a playoff push in the next 2 years.
Nice goal. As good as a player as he is, and he does things that nobody else can do, like keeping it away with his long reach, Jack has a personality that's hard to warm up to. He's not a leader at $10 million a year and I wonder how that's going to work out. Plus he's one of the ugliest players in the league, unfortunately for him.

I think everyone hopes he does well, we seen stints of him being a superstar when he is healthy I hope he can live up to that hype in vegas.

Even though the play worked out, 9 times out of 10 that’s a terrible play by Stephensen.
