These New York Rangers are three wins away from setting a new record for most points in a single season in franchise history.
Montreal’s on the road at the tail end of a back to back. This is another winnable game for the Rangers. A win tonight can create some separation between the Rangers and the OTL merchant Bruins in the race for the President’s Trophy, giving them a three point lead with just four games remaining. That Dallas loss in Chicago yesterday was also huge. Just win baby. LGR!

Quite the lineup move today. I like the jones for Gustafson move – Gustafson got a lot of work off an injury and it’s important to keep jones engaged and playing like he was before the defense got healthy.
I don’t mind the roslovic bench, he hasn’t played great, but ultimately it means splitting up a line that just dominated. Would have liked to see the 4th together for at least one more game…. But I do think it’s important to get some looks with different lines by benching some role players – if a role player isn’t doing their job, shake ups in the playoffs are a must and it seems Lav is ready to make most of the necessary moves.
Happy brodz remains center of the 4th and goodrow is going to wing.
