Dumb secondary altercation rule. When this happened in 2012, no one got thrown out. I think the rule was in place since the late 90s, but everyone dropped gloves at same time so no misconducts. Had the players known they would be getting thrown out, these fights would’ve been better and they should’ve removed helmets. On a side note, apparently now you get a penalty if opponents helmet comes off during fight like Kane got vs Tucker. That traitor Shanahan and Gay Bettman have ruined the NHL these past 10+ seasons.
