Kotksniemihas been a disaster for the canes. I did say on this site he would not be more than a 40 point per season player. I know last year he posted 43 points, but that is probably going to be a career year. His character and work ethic are the issues.

my habs mangled this one too. we dealt the 1st and a 2nd for dvorak. oof. the 1st ended up being filip bystedt, but also could have been jiri kulich, brad lambert, or matthew poitras. and the 2nd is a top 40 pick this year.
it won't be impossible to move KK. the canes can even get an asset out of it if they accept even an equally bad contract for an older player. he was in the league at least 2 years before he should have been. bergevin and his shortsighted thinking. we could have taken brady tkachuk instead.
Instead of getting 1 or 2 top 6 players, the GM got 3 mediocre players)) The only top Oilers players play in the first power unit 5 on 4.
The Oilers also have 1 good defenseman in Mattias Ekholm (+35), everyone else, including Nurse at $9 million, are mediocre players.
Now the coach has to decide what to do with a bunch of mediocre players.😜🤪😝Kane is NOT top 6 player IMHO ( 3-d line at best)
What would the Canes give the Sharks to take JESPERI KOTKANIEMI??
The term will make it expensive and JK and 2 1st for say Strum to dump the contract?
