In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about Ethan Bear entering the NHLPA’s player assistance program and what that means for Ethan and the Capitals. Ethan hasn’t found an everyday role on the Caps, but we hope he gets the help he needs. Vinny Iorio gets the call to fill the roster spot Ethan left. With Sonny Milano out due to injury Matthew Phillips gets the call up before the Caps head to Toronto. Later Dan talks about how Dylan Strome has been the consistent goal scorer the Caps were looking for – even in the beginning of the season when he was pretty much the only one scoring goals. LAter Dan talks about how it appears as though the Caps will be staying in Washington DC

Ethan Frank should be the call up from the AHL. I watch all of the Bears games this year and I do not see the intrinsic value of Phillips. He is fine unless someone gets in his way, he is easily knocked off the puck, and he is a defensive liability.
Everyone makes a mistake. Is Carberry going to bench Ovi the next time he commits a turnover that leads to a goal by the opposition. I seriously doubt it.
I knew that Dylan Strome was going to be good. The Blackhawks, like they are even with Bedard, suck. I also knew that Brown, that came over with Strome would not stay in Washington.
I agree with your statement bring up Ethan Frank, he definitely deserves a chance. Plus that speed definitely could be used on the Caps.
agree dan. what on earth do the caps see in Philips I don't get it. it's got to be the dumbest thing they've seen. snively at worst should be the call. why they keep force feeding this Philips nonsense is beyond me.

Another player I think is ready for the call up at lest for next season is Hunter Shepherd. He’s been a brick wall for the Bears 💪🏽
