while not as bad as chris krieder ruining carey prices knee for the rest of his career. players gotta be careful doing stuff like that. also, the oilers should of beat the crap out of him.
First blush I thought he was trying to set his edges to cut across the crease for a backhand but got clipped by Ceci on the way in, but that replay is kinda telling. Looks like Lizotte froze when he realized he was in too tight and just slammed on the brakes instead, just too late to avoid the contact. I don't think he meant to do it but he's still gotta be smarter than that.
NHL rules (and really, all of hockey) on crease rules are a bleepin JOKE.. I don’t care if the player is forced into the goalie.. ANY TOUCH of a goalie on the blue paint should be a penalty.. if he’s pushed.. he was too close to begin with.. I’ve seen goaltender INT when out of the crease be called for chippy crap but you can blow one up in the crease and get nothing.. dumb…
