Reporter: “First time in Habs history that a teenager gets 40 points in a season…” Juraj Slafkovsky: “People are talking about it, I’m happy about it but I just wanna keep playing, keep getting wins. I’d be happier if we were going to the playoffs, that’s the main goal for me.”

These are the type of answers that you hope you can think of in the moment to say in real-time

I hope we keep building the team with their kind of spirit.

This team is going to kick ass next year IMO.

You heard this from him when he was drafted, it was what sold a lot of scouts etc. on him. The kid competes and shows up when it matters and more importantly WANTS that pressure. You love to see it, I hope he gets that playoff chance sooner rather than later.

Im curious about which player we can compare him. Will he be more like a malkin? Anders lee? Leon draisatl?
Im not talking stats wise but just the type of player he his. I still cant put my hand on it. Any idea?

  8. He has bit of cristiano ronaldo mentality except not that egoistic 😄 love to see how he managed pressure of being #1, drafted to one of most pressured teams and won his fans over shane stare wleft. And those saying he can be 60 point player in future, i checked this season top 20 pointers and half of them had not even 40 points in nhl in this age. Its still early but why he cant be 80-100 point player in future?

That’s mind blowing that the Canadiens have never had a teenager get 40 points in a season

One more year before he can taste playoffs hockey.

I hope he stays in Montréal for a long time. Good job Slaf we love you!

You just can’t hate this guy. Suzuki is a great captain, but Slaf is a true leader and will be looked up to in the locker room for his entire career!
