I didn’t come back from an injury and score a pretty clutch goal like that has to be nice yeah I told the boys it’s nice to be back uh battling with them after couple weeks out so I think this is the time of the year we want to you
Know be playing helping out and uh obviously not a win tonight but it was uh a huge opponent fors how did this game feel like it kind of from our view I think looked like a chess match at time not a lot of real estate for either
Team yeah it’s a tight game I think uh you know all teams this time of the year is playing pretty tight hockey and um you know the defense getting stronger and stronger so you just want to find ways to get pucks through and and get some dirty goals but um you know one-
One game and and like I said it was a tight one you talked about the defense uh the find by Ryan Johnson to you uh what do you think of that yeah it was good uh I think we had a couple looks like that during the game that could
Have could have connected but uh yeah I saw him looking at me and then kind of just took off it was a really good pass I mean there there are games where you can say you know we probably deserve two and I would think tonight you guys are
Saying that yeah I mean uh like I said it’s they didn’t either but I it was pretty well played game on both sides yeah I mean obviously you want to come out with a win and two points uh but you know we’ll take a point in that game
Being down late and uh you know battling back to to tie it up there so uh like I said it was a big win or big point for us there and we wish we could have been a win but we’ll take it and move on offensively you do end up with a couple
More shots than Toronto but is there anything specifically that you see the offense looking to improve walking into Sunday um I think we could have had a lot of U more like shots gone through I think we had a a few uh shots blocked so
I think we got to um kind of find a way to get more shots through and uh stay around the neck cuz that’s where the pucks are are bouncing out or rebounds are coming out so I think if we can kind of stay around the net a little bit more
I I think hopefully he’ll find a few more and we talk about playoff atmospheres and regular season games how does this game fit into that category yeah I think it’s uh like I said two good teams playing tough hockey and and you know defense first type of hockey
This time of year so I think yeah it’s uh it’s a good test for us moving forward uh you know playing good teams like Toronto uh and a hard you know division matches coming up here so I think we got to you know D it back in
And and uh be ready for battle every night is there like what’s the mindset do you score a breakway late the regulation start to shoot out you’re right back at him I mean are you thinking I got to do something different I are you trying to guess what he’s
Thinking what you see no I was trying to do the same kind of move I did and the Breakaway honestly I saw that was open but and the puck kind of rolled a little bit on me and couldn’t really get the puck up too high but um yeah I mean when
The shootout comes it’s kind of a you don’t really know what’s going to happen it’s back and forth so um you know we had good safe by howy there there and he gave us a chance to score a goal but we couldn’t find a way so um take it and move on
