Absolutely inexcusable
Really disappointing. We had a lot of opportunities to win but careless penalties and letting the Bruins get the jump from the 2nd onward sealed the game.
ETA: We gotta chill with the late goals. Feel like that’s been the factor in basically all of our recent losses (aside from the shutouts…)

Montour looked so greedy today, had good passing oppurtunities to Forsling but goes for the shot instead happened 3 or 4 times
Absolute brutal collapse in a game we actually really needed and should’ve won. This better be a teachable moment cause those were straight up mental errors that cost us leading the game with 6 mins left
That’s a horrible loss
Absolutely nobody to blame but ourselves with this one. All 4 goals were results of stupid mistakes on our end. This bad habit of blowing leads and giving up late goals need to snap quickly.
Silver lining…I still would feel very confident against Boston in a playoff series if we clean up our mistakes in the defensive zone. We very clearly need Ekblad back badly. We still have a game in hand and get another shot at them soon.
This one hurts. A lot. We’re going to see just how good paul maurice really is, because this is how roller coasters to hell get started.

There was literally no reason for either of the two penalties at the end of the third to let Boston back into the game. We need to play cleaner if we want to go on a cup run. 1-5 in our past 6 isn’t great, chemistry issue needs to be ironed out in these final 10 games

Just an absolute brutal choke. Erod taking the Penalty with 4 minutes to go and they tie it. And then of course we surrender the go ahead goal immediately after.
The way they have been playing this past month is fucking concerning. They are doing the exact opposite of what you want to do going into the postseason by basically limping in. They haven’t looked sharp at any phase. Offense is inconsistent and outright ineffective at times, defense is having way too many breakdowns, the power play is back to looking lethargic and the penalty kill is giving up key power play goals. We keep up this level of play and we aren’t beating anyone in a best of 7. They better figure out a way to start playing like they did in January/February or it will be a short postseason.
We should beat that team. That team is not special. There is nothing about that team that scares me and we’ve dropped every game to them this season.

Fuck. I thought we played a really solid game up until the last 5 minutes. A couple defensive oversights that Boston capitalized on but then just a brutal collapse at the end when we are typically good at closing out games. I feel like we haven’t been right since that Carolina game. This was the best we looked overall besides the last 5 minutes imo. Need to get it figured out in a hurry.

1-4-1 in the last 6 is inexcusable. You don’t lose your way to the finals, we should be tightening and refining our play, not hoping for loser points. This teams is out 4-1 in the first round at this rate

I’m sorry to say it, but Bob has kinda sucked. He has to make some saves. I realize some of those shots were gonna be hard to stop, but he has looked lazy lately. We played him too much.
We’re gonna regret playing Bob game after game and not giving Stolarz reps against tougher teams. Pomo has been making some questionable calls lately. That’s my opinion.
