Marchessault is both the best and the worst player on the team. He loses more battles and makes more terrible turnovers than anyone else, and then does things like he did in OT last night more than anyone else. Feast or famine. The problem is, his goal scoring is driving his price up far more than his gaffes (including bad penalties like last night as well) drive the price down.
Hanifin is the right answer to your question. Dorofeyev will be the (cheap) replacement pure goal scorer.
Thompson was unreal. Marchessault made up for that mistake that lead to the tying goal. Love he scored the game winner but I credit Thompson more than Marchy. As much as I love Marchy
