  1. Great point by MA re: season success, the individual progressions have been such that this hasnt been a lost season (except for Kirby 😢), the core players that are likely to be around 3-5 years from now have shown enough. If Reinbacher can maintain his hot start in Laval, its all gravy.

  2. Greg MacPherson is a legendary Canadian punk rock musician from Winnipeg. He is often called G-Mac and is also known as Canada's Bruce Springsteen because he often wears a white t-shirt. Thanks for your podcast and hopefully the song also inspires some more secondary scoring!

  3. Do people forget Caufield's sweet pass to Toffoli to bury the Jets in 2021 playoffs? Caufield has always been a good passer and playmaker. It's just been overshadowed by his goal scoring. He actually showed that very early on as a rookie. He's definitely shown improved playmaking this season and it's very impressive how many assists he's gotten but this shouldn't be as much of a surprise as some are making it out to be. Similarly Suzuki scoring shouldn't be that big a surprise everyone knows he has a wicked wrister. 20 goals or more is no surprise for Suzuki. It might be a bit of a surprise for him to be getting close to 30 goals this season but I suspect this is not going to be the norm with Suzuki. He's going to more of a 20-25 goal scorer in most seasons. But he's having more success with scoring goals now because he is scoring in different ways besides his bread and butter wrister. He's scored more on slappers and one timers. He's also gone to the net more to get some goals. If he keeps that up in future seasons then maybe he can hit 30 goals more often but ultimately I think where Suzuki will continue to grow the most will be playmaking and defense.
