no way Habs give up that much for an over rated player like Zegras.
A Matt Murray return to the NHL ? Seriously, he wasn't playing well before the surgery and, now, after all the time off, it seems unrealistic that he could return to the NHL,BUT, several teams, including the Leafs, have had goaltending issues ,so, anything's possible. Thanks for another excellent report, always appreciated.
It's sad for Arizona prospects that get called up that they will be playing in a much smaller arena once they make the "big" club!
I really can't see Montreal trading Xhekaj. Possibly Harris or Kovacevic and a 2nd rounder. But not a 1st. That's just asking too much.

I'm not necessarily saying no to zegras, but xhekaj plus a first, hell no. Harris, barron or matheson, yes
They can Ask for Xhekaj,… But they're not likely to get him… Habs invested in both him and His Brother. They have more than enough assets to make a deal for a top forward. Also they are not going to make a panic trade. Xhekaj is too valuable an asset to give away for the likes of Zegras or any other forward.
Die hard Leafs fan here, but If I'm the Habs, there's no way I'm trading Arber Xhekaj unless it's a deal that absolutely blows Kent Hughs away and I honestly don't think Trevor Zegras is as good as people think..flashy yes, but Xhekaj is one of a kind..I dont see very many Defencemen out there quite like him..kid can do a little bit of everything and only gonna get better, hes the type of player they're gonna need coming out of the rebuild and into the playoffs. I'll probably regret saying this as a Leafs fan lol..but it's true. Now if they get the right deal, I'm definitely not saying he's untouchable, but imo Zegras isn't it, especially if they attach a high first round pick to the deal. Skilled offensive guys with zero defensive ability are a dime a dozen.
Im sorry but Arber is the future of Montreal. There is no way in hell we would give up Arber. Zegras is a great player but Arber is a rare peice that helps you win a cup.
I wouldn't trade Arber Xhekaj. A sheriff who can shoot the puck at 107 MPH? A decent skater, as well. That's a rarity that you hang on to. Nobody wanted to go into the corners with Shea Weber. Opposing teams would shoot in the puck into his opposite corner. That is an advantage. You stood in front of a shea Weber slap shot at your own risk. That's why teams had to play him tight eventually. If he was injury free and was more mobile he could have moved around that but that was difficult in his latter years. Personally, I would be shocked if the Habs traded Arber.
Arber is not going anywhere. Why would you move someone who has the toughness to get you through the playoffs when the team is ready for someone who is soft.
Is Zegras the type of guy the habs need. They already have enough small non-physical forwards.
