Sebastian Aho’s 8th career hat trick couldn’t get a win in Washington as the Caps survive in shootout, 7-6. Aho’s third of the game, with Carolina’s net empty, sent the game into overtime. Seth Jarvis scored his 27th of the season on the power play. It was the sixth straight game with a goal for Jarvis. Jaccob Slavin and Brady Skjei each scored as well. Skjei doing so in his 600th career NHL game. Carolina’s normally reliable penalty kill allowed three Washington power play goals.

This game was gross- difficult to watch.
Agree with the wiped calls. They were legit.
Let's be feal, reffing in NHL is a hard job and at th3 same time there is a lot the NHL should and could do yo improve it. While a tough job, the officiatingbis bad and often horrible. How anyone gambles on a game that is so heavily decided by the officials is beyond me.
