That the Wings even have to rely on Western Conference teams (or barring that the Habs, Sens, CBJs, Bruins, Panthers, NYR, Canes and Leafs of the world, if in the Eastern Conference) to beat their opponents shows just how precarious the Wings’ playoff-qualifying position is.

I dont know who keeps telling you that Caps fans don't care about making the playoffs, but I can assure you that narrative is 100% false. Yes, you have those fans that only want to see Ovi break the record, but the majority of us would like to see the Caps make the postseason and make some noise.
