Big Hog has been treated very disrespectfully by this team, even before Tocchet. Limited ice time, taking unanswered dirty hits, demotion to the minors. He’s waiting his time here and will be leaving soon! But, yeah, let’s trade prospects, picks, and Kuzzy for a 3 month rental.

I was going to say I dont agree hes top 7…but then I looked at the stats. You're right, hes like only 12 points back of Dach with similar games…but a whole 5 fewer minutes per game. For perspective, Hoglander would have to play 100 more games at his current minutes to catch up to Dach's career icetime. AND Hoglander has played with worse players the whole time. He absolutely gets those 12 points in those 100 games… He has better stats than Kakko….

Vegas would be the best in terms of team morale versus adversity. If they can beat the defending champs — who will have something to prove, btw — then that'll be a huge morale booster for the subsequent rounds.

To say Miller turned it around this year is strange. He's been the same ever since he came over. He's the soul of this team and real captain. Hoglander has been mistreated for quite some time as well as garland because of their size but finally we see them for what they are, hard working guys with one driving a play and nills scoring and fighting battles with much bigger guys.
I keep waiting for Nils Höglander to do the Zorro/Michigan goal when he's going behind the net.
At $1.1M cap hit, probably the best value in the league.
