It’s Friday afternoon, and the Oilers are coming off a pair of big wins, which meant there was plenty to talk about on the latest episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we’re looking at the Oilers’ current win streak, Mattias Ekholm’s big night, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off the new episode of ONR, the podcast started with a delicious debate about whether or not Troy Stecher has done enough to become an everyday player over someone like Ceci or Desharnais. In last night’s game against Buffalo, Stecher played very well while Ceci struggled a little bit, and that has Oilers fans wondering if it’s time for a switch on defensive pairings.
Continuing with our coverage of last night’s win, we keyed in on a handful of fantastic performances that contributed to the win. From Mattias Ekholm’s three-point night to Connor McDavid’s four-point night to Darnell Nurse’s game winner, there were plenty of fantastic stories from last night’s win that were worth celebrating.

Clouder needs to finish more checks.
Vini makes horrible mistakes. I am thinking of one right now he was along the boards battling then manages to pass it to the middle of the ice without looking where it is going in front of the goalie to be scored upon. He makes too many mistakes. I don't know what Oilers can do to squash this persistently prone bad habit.

So far I'm only 40 seconds in but based on the title of the video, I just want to say that kulak and ceci on the same pairing is nightmare material. I don't know if Stecher would be a suitable replacement for either, but those two just miffin pucks, taking garbage shots, flubbing passes…it scares me.
