That’s not an ideal situation for a team that’s already minus Oshie and Protas. Tom Wilson Offered In-Person Hearing For High Sticking Noah Gregor. After an initial hit, he took an extra swing with his stick, hitting Gregor in the head. He received a double-minor on the play. Later Dan talks about GM Brian Maclellan’s initial thoughts on head coach Spencer Carbery .But in a recent 32 thoughts column Elliotte Friedman said that when had a conversation with MacLellan at the recent GM meetings in Florida that he had some differences with the way Carbery wanted his team to play defensively. Dan then talks about Nick Backstrom was missing from the team photo and what that means for his future on the Caps.

I get why they’re suspending Wilson but it’s a tough break so late in the season here. He’s a big piece to this team.
Too bad about WIlson. When I saw the hit on a youtube video, I immediately thought 3 games. It's less likely the team will make it now. Will see how they respond to this. In any case, they have to compete better against the top teams in the league and I think that has to be the focus or at least a big focus for the remainder of the season. It's a learning curve with the young players. LETS GO CAPS!!
