Pre-Game Report: Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers make their only trip to Toronto tonight to take on the Maple Leafs on Hockey Night in Canada! Zach Hyman has a chance to hit the 50-goal milestone in front of his home town and against his former team. Auston Matthews looks to continue to pad his lead in the goal scoring race as both teams solidify their playoff positioning with only a few weeks left in the regular season. Their last meeting saw the #oilers defeat the #leafs 4-2 back in January at Rogers Place. Edmonton has won 2 of the last 3 meetings head-to-head against Toronto. In today’s pre-game video I break down all the fun stats and fun facts heading into what should be an exciting match!

  1. OILERS… may or may not win, but you know darn well, it'll be exciting.
Most entertaining team in the NHL. I watch far too much hockey 😞

  2. Two of the most high offence teams in the nhl. Should be a loud crowd, Hyman’s getting 50. Can’t wait! It’s also at a really good time being 5pm!

  3. I feel like the Oilers can afford to loose this game. It means nothing at the end of the day. Everyone knows the Oilers are contenders.
This is a good test for the leaf's. They will be looking to get some revenge for the loss in Edmonton after leading 2-0. They will be wanting to prove to themselves and the league that they are ready for a deep playoff run.
The leafs have had the Oilers number in the Mathews/Mcdavid era.
This is practically a home game for the Oilers with ties in the Toronto area. Both teams are cooking. This should be a great game for the fans.

  4. I'm happy for Hyman who became #2 sniper in NHL with 48 and McDavid who reached 112 points😜 Let's go Oilers!

I'm looking forward to the game against Toronto and hope Hyman can score against his former team.😜
