He's been a passenger since he signed his big contract. I'm glad you guys are finally putting it out there, that he's been a major disappointment.
A group chat of mine calls him MangASS since he has been so mediocre
Love him but ……….
he needs to be traded this offseason way too many wingers and we’re stalling the development opportunities of other, higher potential long term options in our system that would be better utilized in his spot in the lineup. can’t stand how much he falls over and does nothing when given the puck
That's all huskas coaching style… Keeps guys stifled just like his predecessor before him.
If he played with Backs and Coleman all year, I think he would have a different season, maybe not 35 goals again, but I think he’d be a lot more impactful.
Trade him for a bag of pucks
Mangiass
Trade MANGIAPANE to the OILERS for CONNOR BROWN is possible.
I disagree with this take. Mangiapane has been good- he’s not great but he’s a solid player and possesses speed that breaks through the offensive zone. He’s got a good read of the game and is smart defensively.
his mom was my elementary hockey coach and andrew came to some of our practices! great guy and he’ll turn it around
Maybe, just maybe, his 30+ goal season was an absolute outlier where he played on one of the greatest Flames teams in recent memory. Like, did you expect his near 20% shooting percentage to be sustainable? He's been fantastic in his own end on that 3rd line. Hes on pace for career highs in hits and blocks, has a positive Corsi, Fenwick, and +/-, all while receiving a career high in defensive zone starts.
This guy was one of the most noticeable players on the ice the last couple years. He forechecked like a pitbull. I can honestly say I've barely noticed him on the ice a handful of times this year. I honestly forget he even plays for the Flames.
Mullet guy
Always thought he was a 20 goal scorer at best we just signed him on a career year.
Should've traded him and Backs years ago.
