CASEY MITTELSTADT THROWS LOWKEY SHADE AT THE BUFFALO SABRES? Colorado Avalanche News

CASEY MITTELSTADT THROWS LOWKEY SHADE AT THE BUFFALO SABRES? Colorado Avalanche News

So this video is like half joking half not because there are some interesting things to go over when it comes to the Buffalo Sabers and a very particular comment that was made by a former saber now you know from the title you know from the thumbnail today we are talking

About former saber and current Colorado Avalanche forward Casey middlest stad because when it comes to the middle stad for Byam trade that in which we did discuss during trade deadline week we had ourselves a few very interesting outcomes as a result of that transaction now of course you know the trade itself

Is huge seeing two top prospects former top guys taken in 2017 and 2019 get swapped around for each other guys who potentially could use changes of scenery and guys who could help out their new teams we said it at the beginning it’s a pretty good trade All Things Considered

Because the Sabers are getting themselves another phenomenal defenseman because you could debate Casey Middle’s role in the sabers long term send him over to Colorado where they need a second line Center and he can cook there it’s been pretty good and for the most part both of these players have been

Playing very well in their new teams Sab fans are very happy with the way bow and Byam has started to command that blue line Avalanche fans are super stoked that Casey middle stad is everything they wanted him to be as a second line Center but the pointu production aside

The player profiles aside another interesting aspect to this trade was let’s just say how both of these players responded on the ice because as we had talked about a few videos ago the biggest part about bow and Byrum when he debuted with the Buffalo Sabers it

Wasn’t really the fact that he was like amazing right off the bat I think he scored two goals if not one goal and one assist in his first game as a saber and then he had two goals in a game later on the biggest part about bow and Bam’s

Debut was Buffalo was that on the power play the guy kind of looked lost out there and not really because it was his fault you see bow and Byrum came from a power play in Colorado where everybody likes to move around everybody changes positions there’s a lot of fluidity to

The way the Colorado Avalanche players maneuver around on the man Advantage but in Buffalo that movement really isn’t there in that same capacity you’ll see a lot of guys stagnant on their points they’ll have their spots the puck moves around in the perimeter and there isn’t really much movement Bowen Byam on his

First Power Play shift with the sabes was moving around the ice like crazy kind of interfering with his own teammates standing in the wrong spots and getting kind of confused as to why all these guys are not moving around and a lot of people made note of this saying

Hey look at that Bowen Bam’s a fish out of water he’s so used to the Run and Gun always moving power play style of the Avalanche but the Sabers who are an inferior team they don’t have that so it’s kind of interesting to see how a

Player who was so used to that Superior system is now adjusting to this lower tier power play and I get it you know bow and Byam is now a saber he’ll probably continue to stick around with that team so he’s kind of got to get

Used to it but when it comes to the opposing perspective let’s talk about a comment made by Casey midad the other day in regards to how the Colorado Avalanche play this quote was posted onto the Buffalo saber subreddit yesterday and it kind of illuminates some of these same ideas that we just

Discussed about with Byrum take a look at this post the most impressive thing about the Colorado Avalanche in my opinion is the speed in which they play at the speed in which they practice at it’s intense and demanding and I’m very thrilled to be a part of it now I’m not

Directly saying oh yeah Casey midad took a huge shot and he trash talked to Buffalo Sabers no I’m not going to say that I’m going to say he’s building up his new team yes but in a way is this not kind of a lowkey shade on the Buffalo Sabers I

Don’t know you can let me know in the comments as to whether or not that is but here are some of the replies to this Reddit thread and I wanted to go over this because obviously Sabers fans are going to have their own opinions about this and when I say that Casey midad

Threw some lowkey shade with this comment it seems like that sentiment kind of rigns true for the rest of the fan base here’s the first comment reply here in Buffalo we are just thrilled that you show up our coach will be your best friend and and he’ll always be nice

To you if you don’t try your hardest that’s totally fine there’s always next year if you feel good about not winning can you never really lose now who wants ice cream and yeah that’s kind of there’s a very distinct attitude here that Sabers fans are responding to this thought with

Saying yeah oh Casey is it not great to be a part of a team that actually cares about winning is it not awesome to be on a team that plays with speed and has standards unlike here in Buffalo where the coach will be your best friend and

Everybody gets ice cream at the end of it another comment goes out there and says yeah whatever the Avalanche probably aren’t getting a new roof on their Arena though and a new scoreboard now all jokes aside here’s the first serious comment the Canuck’s Pace against the Buffalo Sabers had that of a

Devastating tsunami and the Oilers today will be the same I saw an Oiler Stars game a few weeks back and holy crap it’s like they were playing a different game with how break neck both teams were at pushing the puck another reply says yeah it’s indicative that other organizations

Have higher standards there’s no reason why the Sabres can’t do it but it needs to come from the top down agreed if the president GM and Coach don’t really care why should the players the organization is so poorly ran it’s honestly sad Buffalo deserves so much better than

This and then a response goes out there and tries to hypothesize the reasoning here leftover from the iel days I’m not saying it’s his fault per se per se that’s interesting the way they spelled it there but but when he was given the keys to the franchise so to speak and

They let a then immature youngstar player Drive coaches out because they bag skated them and worked them hard in practice it would inevitably mean that the guys he liked like Krueger ran soft practices that culture was then passed through to Granado I’m surprised a guy like tuck and maybe even Byrum coming

Out of Vegas and Colorado haven’t erupted with a demand for more out of the team in practices another reply says yeah you’re right Ryan O’Reilly knew this and that’s why he ran extra practices Jack was soft and his ego ran him out too the kid has talent but he’s

Not the whole package the worst thing this organization ever did was make him captain and there are a lot of other discussions about this like Jack eichel’s identity as a leader forged the Sabers into running this style of practice and habits that boded terrible results long term but other than that

It’s very intriguing to hear how from the perspective of some of these fans they could totally understand that yeah middle stad talk color Vegas these are all players who are used to situations with other teams where they know what it’s like to play with high Pace but coming over to Buffalo it’s interesting

That they don’t really have the same another apply goes back to joking Sabres don’t deserve fans and oh careful you’re going to get the players mad again and then a further reply says sabr fans last week were saying there’s no way that middle stad could possibly be throwing

Shade a Granado the mere suggestion is ludicrous and shall be roundly mocked ah well nonetheless and so at the end of the the day based off of how a lot of sabes fans are responding to this quote from middlest stad it does appear like there was some sort of shade tossed out there

Not directly maybe it’s by proxy by two or three proxies and firewalls this comment could be construed as sort of demeaning against the sabes but at the end of the day it’s not really anything that we’re surprised by right the Buffalo Sabres don’t play with enough Pace especially when compared to some of

These other top teams they played the Vancouver Canucks the other night and they got smoked they might have not on the score sheet because Devon Levi was an absolute saint but in terms of the expected percentage chances and everything like we had talked about this in the canu sabers

Postgame video the canox had a 96 percentile deserve to winom meter rating and it’s kind of indicative of how well they were able to outpace a tired Buffalo Sabers team now the Buffalo Sabers are going to play the Oilers later tonight and we may or may not see

Some similar results who really knows of course there’s always a chance that the Sabers can beat Edmonton but based off of how the oil have been playing recently how fast they play how much they move their feet and how much they move the puck I’m not really holding too

Much hope for Buffalo but either way if you are a Buffalo Sabers fan let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about Casey Middle’s new experience in Colorado how he’s playing for a team that plays with the puck they play really fast they play with Pace

They move their feet everything’s going well and middlest stad himself has produced a lot of points too so what are your thoughts on the way middle stad talks about his time and Colorado and do you think this reflects poorly on the Buffalo Sabers for a guy who was drafted

By Buffalo 7 years ago now who had spent his entire development time in that system who is now on a new team and saying wow they play so fast do you think this spells well for the Buffalo Sabers and the way they run their organization let me know your thoughts

  1. When the league uses refs to openly cheat against you its hard to win, dont believe me just go watch a sabres game lolol

  2. There were multiple plays were if sabres players moved off puck they woulda had easy goals on pp just last game but they refuse to move off puck and ita so frustrating

  3. Casey Mittelfat was always overweight, Dahlin his roommate always joked how he ate too much junk food and snack cakes, he did start working out the last two seasons. I rather have Byram who will score just as many goals…Fats had zero speed, dude is a sloth

  4. A player is never responsible for how practices are run. A player doesn't have that power. If management or coaching staff allows that it's not on the player it's on weak management or coaching staff. It's not Eichel's fault that his team wasn't in a position of strength enough to say "No Jack this is how we do things get in line or get out.". Eichel was the best thing that happened to that poorly run organization. When they finally did put their foot down it was about a surgery situation that was frankly a dumb an ill informed stance to take. Buffalo was wrong.

  5. I feel like people are again creating a story and narrative out of their own interpretation of something not said. Pretty lame this is considered something worth discussing
