Zach Parise To Colorado Avalanche & A Look Back – DO YOU STILL HATE HIM?

I discuss former New Jersey Devils Captain Zach Parise signing with the Colorado Avalanche.

Zach left the Devils to go to the Minnesota Wild for mega payday, before playing two years with the New York Islanders.

He is now looking to win a Cup.

I discuss Zach’s Cup Chase as well as go on a rant about the Colorado Avalanche.

This is a clip from Runnin With The Devils Podcast Episode 1: ALL STAR BROKE

  1. As a younger fan, I guess I dont have the resentment that a lot of the older fans may. I wish success for the rest of Parise's career. It would've been nice if it wasnt on the Avs 😅 but it is what it is.

  2. I don't hate him, but the whole situation surrounding his departure still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Was I mad that he signed with his "hometown" team, to spend more time with his family and ultimately getting the chance to be with his ailing father? No, of course not. 99% of people would have done the same thing. What rubbed me the wrong way was how he strung along the fans and the media leading up to free agency, feeding them a series of outright lies (or at the very least, lies by omission, in some cases) about wanting to remain a Devil. When, in the end, it turns out him and Suter had been scheming about this plan to play together for MONTHS. Him and Suter knew exactly what they were going to do all along. So, Zach went from one of my favorite players to basically being dead to me overnight. I stopped wearing my Parise jersey when he left and I haven't put it on since.

With that being said, I would have happily welcomed him back to New Jersey and dusted off the old Parise jersey from the back of the closet. But let's be real, why would he want to come to NJ? Colorado is a contender, NJ is a pretender.

  3. why the heck would I hate Parise?!?! He got a chance to play where he was born and raised. Hard to pass on that. Good for him that the Avs picked him up, he is 100% still an NHL caliber player and will help them
