The Leafs had a 4-2 lead with 1:32 to go in the third period aaaannnnndddd blow it as they lose 5-4 in the shootout to the Carolina Hurricanes!! Next up the Buds head to Philly to take on the Flyers on Tuesday night, looking to get back on track!!

So against my better judgement i decided to watch the 3rd period & man the Leafs did NOT disappoint me.
When Carolina scored their 1st goal at 3-1 I figured they would win the game, just had the feeling. Leafs do not know how to lock down a game, which will again come back to bit them in the playoffs. Keefe needs to go.
Toronto maple leafs make a 6 on 5 appear like a 5 or 6 on 3. Can't score on a pp in OT. John Tavares has got to be the most overrated overpaid player to put on a leafs jersey, ever. Can't even hit the net.
As a coach why is it acceptable when your guys are playing poorly on defense. It's same tune year after year, nonchalant begrudgingly defense.. they don't know how to pressure and tie up the opposing players.

Where was the Leaf Core 4 for the last 5 minutes of the game?😀 They get paid $50 Million to prevent collapses like this. The Leaf Core 4 are the common denominator of all these disappointments.
Of coarse they just stand around and do nothing and don’t block shots absolute garbage

Marner doesnt help the specialty teams. The Leafs are 23rd in the NHL on the PK, WITH Marnie on the unit. The PP should thrive without Marnie but the coach seems to not want to put the right players out when the time comes
They couldn't score in the shootout .
Leafs will never go past 1st round with this core 4. They need to break them up and do a Summer trade for some heavy banging grit that can score and play good defensive hockey.
This is why matthews won’t be a top 5 player lol. Leon,
Mcdavid, kuch, pasta, Matty Kane mcdavid can do it with out a big top tier player and panarin.
