  1. Acquiring Trevor Zegras would greatly speed up the rebuild that is forsure. However it would cost a king's ransom to aquire. Probably a 2024 1st round pick an established player and a prospect or two.

  2. Id rather see us take the long rebuild approach instead of the "speed up" rebuild approach, were still lacking some huge pieces for the forwards and for our defense we still dont know how hutson/reinbacher/mailloux will pan out. Would be better to wait and see how those 3 do in the nhl before pulling the trigger

  3. Well, if Montreal plans to move in Hutson, Reinbacher and Mailloux next year, that means they have way too many defensemen. They definitely need to trade some of those 7 or 8 young almost NHL ready kids and get some help in the top 6. Armia and Dvorak needs to go but is there any market for them? They have lots of picks and kids available to get Zegras out of Anaheim, I hope they try that.
Anderson, Winnipeg 1st and one of the kids on def for Zegras, that might work.

  4. If Edmonton doesn't perform well in the playoffs this year, I think we could see the end of that dynasty or lack there of. Montreal needs a guy that can put up 100+ points consistently therefore I bring up the name Draisaitl. Him with Dach and Newhook could be nice. And I believe he's still young enough to give a solid 5 more seasons of 100+ point production.

  5. In my mind, I would think if Montreal is more concerned with character players as well as a skill set. I would like to see them pick up a Brady kachuck type player. He certainly brings a lot of character into the room. Physicality. He would be a Josh Anderson, 2.0.

  6. I figured what caused there Detroit Red Wings 7 game losing streak. The NHL didn't like the fact Detroit was pulling way. So they used voice to skull technology to slow the brain waves down. Now that everybody is at the same place in the standing they turned it off . NHL makes more money if it's a dog fight for the last playoff spot.🤯🧠🤔

  7. The Habs have had I believe 30+ 1 good games this season…. If they have a healthy Dach and Newhook for the whole season along with adding a Zegras or Kent Johnson then this team is fighting for a playoff spot in my opinion… We started this rebuild/retool with a good amount of assets and players already on the team like Suzuki, Caufield, Getting Dach, Inserting Guhle, Getting Matheson etc… This team is close to becoming competitive especially if they make some moves to speed up the rebuild… I would not be concerned with speeding up the rebuild/retool and the only reason is because Slafkovsky has improved leaps and bounds along with have soooooo much Defence prospects in the system… In my opinion the Toronto Maple Leafs sped up their rebuild after getting Matthews and Marner and Nylander but that was not the right decision because they didn’t have the defence prospects in their system and this is why they are stuck with massive contracts and not having any solid RDs in the system… This is not the case with Montreal we have a couple bad contracts but nothing crazy along with having Suzuki, Caufield, Dach and Newhook on great contracts… if you look at this team they are ready to turn the corner especially with the playoff experience Suzuki and Caufield already have they tasted a cup final, Suzuki tasted 4+ rounds of playoffs… Soooo in my opinion if this team is able to trade for a Kent Johnson or Zegras type player ALONG with still using their own first round pick on a forward in the 2024 draft I believe this team is ready to start turning the corner into pushing for a playoff spot next season, Not saying they make it next season, But they will be ready to start adding at the deadline and adding in general… Leggo mentioned in a video that Hutson has 100% chance of becoming an NHLer and a 71% chance at becoming a star player, Logan Mailloux in my opinion will be an NHL player at the very least, David Reinbacher had a good season and looked good especially with how bad his team was Reinbacher wasn’t horrible his team was and in my opinion he still has Top 4/First pairing potential… Our goalies look good, Monte and Primo look great, Fowler looks to be a star in the making, Volokhin looks promising as well, Owen Beck, Joshua Roy look promising… So if this team adds an impact forward like Iginla in the draft and a Zegras type player this team will be on its way to being a great team… This team won’t have a generational player, But Slaf looks to be a VERY PROMISING player, Mikko Rantanen is not a generational player lmao, But you would take Mikko allllll day long… Slaf looks to have that potential his shot is becoming electric, Passing IQ and Two way game is becoming elite, Suzuki looks amazing, Caufield is a little disappointing with the goal scoring but has improved his all around game…. This team is ready to start pushing up the standings instead of tanking.

  8. I like the potential of a Kent Johnson yet he hasn't been great out of the gate. I could see him playing with Roy and Bech as a third line next season. Would a Harris and a second round pick or lte first round do the trick? I would give more than that…

  9. Montreal are 1 Top Natural Sniper away to be playoff ready.
1st Winnipeg, Barron, Farrell, etc for a Top young natural sniper.
