TOP 25 *BEST* NHL PROSPECTS… (2024 Edition)

TOP 25 *BEST* NHL PROSPECTS… (2024 Edition)

Today is the day folks we are going to be ranking the top 25 best prospects in the NHL today a couple weeks ago we looked at Craig butt’s top 50 prospects list and that got me thinking who do I see as the best prospects in the league

Right now does your favorite team have any prospects inside my top 25 well make sure you watch till the end as we go through the entire rankings going through every Prospect with scouting reports for each and make sure you hit that subscribe button if you’re new for more hockey and Prospect content just

Like this as we lead up to the hectic draft that is 2024 now even though you’ve seen a a lot of big prospects graduate into the NHL this year like Connor Bard Adam fan Tilly Logan coolly Leo Carlson Simone NT Zack Benson Luke Hughes just to name a few there are

Still so many top premere prospects that have yet to make their Mark in the NHL level now let’s start out the top 25 best NHL prospects list here today and we’re going to start out here with a player that’s been dominant in the AHL this season in Maverick bour of the

Dallas Stars and with Texas this year he has just been absolutely Electric in 57 games he has 21 goals 44 assists for 65 points to me the progression in this game has just been insane to watch he is so smart so Collective with the puck always knows where to be always knows

Where to put pucks to create dangerous opportunities and this just going to be a guy that to me is an extremely smart player in the future is going to be maybe an electrifying 90 point guy but as a second line Smart Middle sixer who just gets the job done Bor is going to

Be great and has already proved to the pro level to put up some massive results now after Bor we now go on to number 24 and for my 24 best Prospect I got Jimmy snug who we’ve talked about a lot over the past couple years on this channel as

A guy that has risen past his draft year expectations for me he was a guy that I thought was going to be this great defensive middle six Swiss army knife but he has really unlocked a lot of offense in his game you can see 50 points with Minnesota last year and even

Though this year hasn’t been as productive his goal scoring has still been fantastic and he’s been great for the US and the world juniors over the past couple years as well he’s a really interesting project a guy that I think is definitely lean more offensive since

He’s joined the NCAA but but for St Louis could be a really interesting versatile top six wing with the shot and the shot selection being the biggest offensive strength back in his draft year for me the fact that he’s been able to improve on that even more with all

The other traits around him he is going to be a menace for St Louis in no time now we can move on to another late first rounder from the 2022 draft at number 23 here and next up I got Brad Lambert who I think is going to be a really special

Player for the Winnipeg Jets and at 20 years old is already performing great for the manat Moose in the AHL in 49 games is 18 goals 23 assist 41 points is Manitoba’s best player in terms of points per game already and that is amazing progression to see now although

The offense was never a concern to me seeing him adjust to the Pro game already was a major Milestone and I think as a top six Speedy versatile skater is bring going to bring a lot to Winnipeg’s top six that is already looking loaded now but especially in the

Future now we’re going to keep going through the rest of the prospects list but first I want to make today’s NHL picks on sleeper fantasy if you don’t know sleeper is the best place to make daily NH HL picks and win big money with it too if your hockey knowledge and

Today I got five different picks on the docket first I got pav deroia more than 1.5 shots on goal he hasn’t gotten less than two in his last nine games dating back from his injury he has been incredible for Vegas as of late I also got less than 1.5 points with Nikita COV

He hasn’t gotten more than one in his last five games and he’s also going against the Rangers pretty good defensive team and shashurin has been fantastic as of late I also got less than 0.5 assists with Bren Burns he hasn’t gotten an assist in his last and

Versus Florida I think they’re going to be decimating the Carolina’s offense I also got arum zuo more than 1.5 blocks and I like Zu especially the BL shot blocking ability he has been just absolutely Stellar over the last 10 games in that department I also got Matt

Duchaine less than 0.5 goals he’s only gotten one goal in his last 11 even though I love mat Shane he’s got a little bit of a cold streak here and I’m putting $10 down to win 57 by the end of the day let’s get this going boys to

Make your own NHL picks daily go in the description sign up to sleeper fantasy and when put on your first deposit make sure you use promo code grab and you’ll get up to a $500 match if you put a $100 in you’ll get 100 free bucks not an

Offer you guys could refuse and thank you so much to sleeper for sponsoring today’s video now moving on to number 22 and next up we’re going to go to the first D of the list with Alex nickers of the Carolina Hurricanes who I think really has put up some major numbers

This year but also just looked better in almost every single way defensively this is a guy that I could see being a really competitive middle pair D who brings some great physicality a booming slap shot and on the power play is going to do some great things for Carolina I’m

Still don’t know if there’s like number one upside or anything but I think this is a player that will really change Carolina’s defense and make it even better on top of the guys they already have but next let’s move on to number 21 the best prospect outside of the top 20

And the best goting Prospect in the NHL today in my opinion and that is yeser wallstead who we have talked about so much since he’s been drafted back in 2021 he’s just a guy that continues to be solid this year a 907 sa percentage in 35 games but he’s a guy that although

There’s been some inconsistency this year I still believe in the top talent the maturity in his game the Poise that he has and I think that will result in NHL translate ability he’s a guy that to me is a starter of the future for Minnesota and is going to be a great

Player in no time I just hope he gets the opportunity to do it soon because he is going to be real good now we get inside the top 20 and go on to another Winnipeg Jets top sixer for the future in Rucker mcgrody who has just been

Awesome for Michigan this year in 31 games has 16 goals 34 assists for 50 points he has been absolutely insane and was also great as well for the Americans and the world juniors to me as this complimentary bang and crash guy he brings a lot of great playmaking and

Vision as well to the game and he’s going to be a really interesting I would say second line project a guy that’s going to be a fantastic commentary guy to maybe a better goal scor maybe if he’s on the same line as a ky coner that

Could be a match made in heaven to me he is another piece that is going to really project well in Winnipeg system and even though I don’t think he has the greatest skating in the world I think he has the fundamentals outside of that to get past

That and still be a great great NHL now we go on to number 19 and next up I have the first rngs defenseman on this list in Axel sanding pela who has just been brilliant to watch the progression for this year he was already a guy that I

Was pretty high on but this year in the shl he’s been a goal scoring machine 18 points in 39 games and also came up big first weed at the world juniors as well this is going to be an offensive Dynamo a player that can walk the blue line so

Well his shot is extremely underrated The Vision on the ice is great and this is going to be a guy that I do think still needs some patience he does still need to grow a lot more in his frame and add some more bulk but this is a guy

That I could see being a fantastic power play maybe even number two offense defenseman when it’s all said and done for Detroit now we go on to number 18 and a player that I just love to see being this high after the injuries he’s had over the past couple years and

That’s Frank ner of the Chicago Blackhawks playing with Michigan over these last couple years you can see in 2023 he only played 13 games altogether getting seven points it was just a disastrous year for him but this year we’ve seen him Rebound in a big way 37

Points in 36 games and he was a playmaking machine at the world juniors not even just with the assist he got but just how many plays he was setting up and how good of a play driver he was that’s going to be really the bread and butter with naser’s game just how much

Playmaking and how much speed there is in his decision making and the way he’s able to process the game offensively I do still think there might be some limitations in his game once he reaches the pro level and we’ll see how he’s able to Rebound with the physicality

That comes with it but I still think there’s a lot to unlock here and at least as a middle six power play option I think ner is going to be pretty brilliant next up we going to the man of the myth the legend here next up with Lane Hudson of the Montreal Canadians

Who has just been an absolute beast and you can see the production that he’s had it’s just been absolutely silly 43 points 12 goals in 32 games was great as well for the US and the world juniors and even though I have some reservations with The Gap control and the and the

Frame I do think physically there are times where players are just able to beat him unfortunately this is a guy that on transition in the passing game with the vision with the consistency in his offense he is going to be a guy that runs a power play at five on five is

Going to be a great transition player as well and really runs an offense in a big way and I think for Montreal they’re going to love him on either the middle pair or top pair wherever he slots in he’s going to be a beast on offense next

We going on to number 16 in the player right outside the top 15 a guy that has actually another Chicago Blackhawks Prospect next up I got all more with the University of Minnesota and you can see as a 19th overall pick this is a guy that I’m still higher on compared to

Where he was drafted this year in his first NCAA campaign is started off pretty slow but he’s rebounded in a big way getting 33 points in 36 games I that was pretty solid in his limited role with the US and the world juniors and I think in terms of the playmaking the

Vision he is going to be such a creative offensive player and to me even though there are some issues with the consistency and some of the decision-making he provides he’s an unreal skater and that’s going to be really the big thing for him how much is

He going to be able to get past some of the wonky consistency because to me Moore has the talent to be one of the best players in this entire list unlocking that though will be the big challenge next up let’s go on to number 15 and honestly one of the most

Underrated prospects on this list but it’s going to be Shane Wright of the Seattle Kraken a player that I I just feel like it’s getting way underrated at this point even though he is a player that after all the hype that he’s had has been disappointing he’s still a guy

That I could see being a great maybe second line Center at the NHL level and he’s been pretty good lately as well in the AHL Five Points over his last five games I believe and 37 points in 49 games to me I don’t think you’re ever going to get an electrifying offensive

Player but a guy that has a great shot is just really consistent and and has just a really mature game I don’t think he’s going to overwhelm you by any means but is going to be a guy that makes the right plays is a guy that stays in the

Right areas and just is a great positive result for your team and I think it’s the second line Center Shane Wright is going to be perfect in that role for the Seattle Kraken now going on to number 14 and honestly one of the more improved prospects in this entire list since his

Draft year and you love to see it because he’s always had so much potential and he’s already starting to unlock it and next up I got denil Buddha the ARs and the coyotes this was a guy that I always was fast ated by had some wonky skating mechanics but was a player

That still generated speed in a decent in a decent way but the talent offensively this guy had the way he was able to use his body was incredible at 6’5 203 lbs you can see what he’s been already able to do in the KHL this year

10 goals 21 points in 55 games and as well looked pretty good in the playoffs too and at 19 that’s exactly what you want to see he was a player that really surpass by expectations this season and is looking like a really interesting power forward top sixer for the coyotes

In the near future now we move on to number 13 and actually the second Detroit Red Wings defensive prospect on this list and I got Simone Evanson who I’m a big fan of what Evanson is going to bring in the future even though I don’t think there’s been a ton of

Progression year-over-year over the past couple of Seasons I mean defensively just contined to get more adjusted to the pro level and I think it’s time that he’s an NHL or I hope Detroit makes some moves after this off season to put up a spot for him because I think he could

Absolutely play in the NHL already but as a physical defensive guy who bring some great smarts defensively this is going to be a guy that with his smooth skating as well has just a great defensive upside and I think for Detroit is going to be an excellent under the

Radar but also has some offensive moments D and I would love to see how he translates there now we go on to number 12 next up and go on to Arizona Coyotes defenseman Demetri sisha the second 2023 first rounder from them kind of up the same alley I would say as Simone Evanson

But to me with the physical traits he has the defensive Acumen that he’s able to provide he has been such a steady D in the KHL this year even though those numbers aren’t going to absolutely pop out at you 10 points in 63 games is still pretty good and I thought he was

Good in the playoffs as well in the KHL this is a guy that just brings such a great complete Game defensively and I think offensively he’s starting to show a lot more to his game as well and even though I don’t think he’s going to absolutely W you I don’t think he’s

Going to be this unreal producer at the NHL level I think he could get around 40 or so 30 or 40 points and be one of the best defense defensemen in the NHL that’s what I believe now we advance on to the guy right outside of the top 10

And I go to number 11 with Gavin brenley you guys have know I love this guy for a very long time and I think as a 34th overall pick he continues to be a steal for Columbus this year I think he’s really been a driver of the boat for

Michigan even though Rook MC is also there Franko is also fantastic to me whenever I watch Michigan Brinley is the guy creating the most with 23 goals 27 assist 50 points in 35 games he’s just an offensive Dynamo and to me with Michigan is just such a leader

Offensively such a catalyst and even though he’s on a smaller stature he gets by and physically isn’t also afraid to to win battles to get in deep and to also make things turn around in the right direction I love brenley and I think his style of play is going to fit

In perfectly Columbus in the future and he’s going to be absolutely awesome there now let’s move on inside the top 10 and go on to another American in the n a and Gabe perau of course Tred 23rd overall by the Rangers and is looking fantastic as a pick there he’s been

Unbelievable for BC in his first year as 18 as an 18-year-old in 30 Games 15 goals 35 assists for 50 points he is going to be one of the best complimentary players in the entire NHL if you put him to with a great centerman

He is going to be able to get the most out of them Drive play and the playmaking that he has is going to be incredible as well the vision he has the way he’s able to work off his teammates he just has instant chemistry of almost

Everybody he plays with he’s just such a great player to get the most out of anybody and I think in the next level he’s going to be somebody you love having in your top six Now we move on to number nine and keep going with the

Sweets here a lot of them so far in this list and next up we go Jonathan Lucker aaki of the Vancouver Canucks another player that has risen a lot over the last year really since he was drafted it was interesting last year just the struggles that he had in the El Vin scan

Only three goals in 29 games and even though he was a point per game in the qualification the season was pretty disappointing but this year in the shl he has truly gone above and beyond and the confidence is Skyhigh in 46 games he has 19 goals 12 us to 31 points it’s

Looking absolutely Dynamic was great for Sweden of the world juniors was one of their best offensive players and maybe the entire tournament League wide he was unbelievable and this guy that with the Poise with the confidence with the shooting ability he has is going to be a menace and an unbelievable firstline

Power play threat at the NHL someday but now let’s go into the E best Prospect in the NHL speaking of threats just like leaki I got Olan zeler who even though pav minov has kind of let frog him and got to the NHL first zwier is right

Behind him and has also gotten a taste in the NHL this year looking pretty solid for Anaheim but in San Diego in the AHL has been brilliant in 44 games has 37 points 12 goals he’s been an absolute weapon offensively I think will be that especially in the power play for

The ducks in the future a great transitional d as well outside of that and even though I don’t think he’s ever going to light the world on fire defensively I think he’s pretty smart and capable player even if that frame isn’t the best in the world now moving

On to number seven we’re going to go on to the Washington Capitals eighth overall pick in Ryan Leonard just an absolute dog and has continued to be that wherever he’s played this year whether it be in BC whether it be at the world juniors Leonard is going to be one

Of the most competitive players on the ice no matter where he plays and that’s really driven as well by the competitiveness and also Alo the pretty balanced skill set he has I love the way he’s able to work in tight work around the net be able to crash and bang goals

In he’s just such a smart player always knows where to be and I think for the capitals even though he’s not going to be a superstar level talent I think he’s going to guy that be going to be a guy that gets the most out of everybody

Around him and also it’s just going to be a guy that pots in goals whether they be nice or greasy letter does it all next up at number six we’re going to go right outside the top five to LA Kings D brand Clark who is a guy that with a lot

Of the graduates I think has really risen up this list quite a bit he’s a guy that did get a little bit of a chunk of change in the NHL this year 16 games six points I thought looked pretty good his deployment was kind of weird at

Times but I thought he looked pretty solid in that department and in the AHL you can see what he’s been able to do I mean he was above a point per game a little while ago but 34 points in 35 games also ain’t bad as an offensive D

Brant Clark is going to be brilliant as a power play Commander he is going to be one of the best in the NHL and as a point producer he’s going to be exactly what La needs now we move on to number five and I don’t care if I’m overhyping

Him he is always been one of my boys and he will continue to be one of my boys especially if how look good he’s already looked at the NHL level and I got to go with Logan stankoven of the Dallas Stars I mean how could I not have him in the

Top five at this point everything with stoven has just continued to get better and better this year in the AHL he has been an absolute stud and you can see as well on the NHL level he’s looked right at home sure he hasn’t gotten to point

In his last three but I don’t care the dude has been absolutely electric and the way he uses his body the skills that he has the offense he’s able to push he’s just so so good man and he’s going to be a top sixer in no time for this

Star Squad Now we move on to number four and the best defenseman on this list in my opinion David Ur of the Columbus Blue Jackets and to me really the only thing holding EUR back is the Columbus franchise at this point I think he should be in the NHL and I thought he

Looked pretty good at the NHL level this year defensively but for some reason they wanted him back in the AHL and he’s doing okay there I think with your check though there’s so much to like with the physical play and the way he reads the game defensively the booming Slap Shot I

Think on the power play how well he can work offensively this is a guy that I think he just has so much talent so much potential and really the only thing that could R to this point is the team he’s on which I really hope doesn’t happen because he could be exactly what

Columbus needs now we move on to number three and go on to the top premere prospects outside of the NHL and we go on to cter goer who of course the Anaheim Ducks ended up trading for and to me is going to be a really Premier

Player for them inside their top six you can see what he’s been able to do with BC the past couple years this year just silly production 52 points in 34 games and came up big for the us at the world Jor 12 points in seven games there even

Though he only got two goals the goal scoring to me is the biggest thing with go that shot is absolutely insane and the way he’s able to use it how smartly he uses it is such a weapon I mean I think go is going to be really interesting project just how much is’s

Able to push in the NHL but with some of the Playmakers he has around him in Anaheim he could put up some monster numbers speaking of monster numbers let’s go on to number two and go on to Fourth overall pick by the sharks in Will Smith a player that has been

Absolutely electric with BC this year and especially in the second half it’s just seemingly gotten better in every single way it feels like in 34 games this year has 18 goals 39 assists for 57 points and also was great for the US of the world juniors to me in terms of pure

Creativity in terms of electrifying offensive play you might not find anybody more consistent in that than Will Smith and even though I have some reservations over how much of a defensive product he’s going to be he is going to be a monster on offense and

Will be a leader on that on that sharks team on the power play at five on five and really creating a lot for other teams to finish on but now going on to number one and the best prospect outside of the NHL outside of North America

Right now it has to be Matt F meob of the Philadelphia Flyers at seventh overall a fantastic pick there and the way he’s been able to progress over the past couple years has just been so fun to watch I mean you see this year with

SOI and 47 games he has 19 goals 22 assists for 41 points and with me to me with mov it’s it’s just the way he’s able to process the game the speed at which he plays it the offense he’s able to create he is such an electrifying

Player every single shift and I think he’s also improved in a lot of key areas with his physicality and he was already a pretty aggressive player along the boards and and and and in those dirty areas but he’s starting to get even better results with that stealing pucks

Creating turnovers he’s becoming more of a puck Hound as well and you combine that With His Brilliant shot the way he’s able to just dominate on the power play and he could be a special player for the Flyers if there’s there’s anybody on in this list that could reach

100 plus points it’s Matt bichkov and I think he will do it someday for this flyer Squad but those are my top 25 rankings for the best prospects in the NHL today I want to know in the comments down below what do you guys agree with

IT'S PROSPECT RANKING TIME! What are YOUR thoughts on MY Top 25 Picks? What do YOU agree & disagree with? And who are YOUR top NHL prospects in 2024? I'd LOVE to hear YOUR thoughts! #GravGang #RoadTo75kSUBS ALSO HONORABLE MENTIONS: Quentin Musty, Jiri Kulich, Devon Levi, Yaroslav Askarov and Dustin Wolf!

  2. As a DIE HARD DUCKS FAN, I’m ELATED that we got Gauthier. I’ve wanted him since the year before his draft year…
But if I were a Philly fan, I’d be crying knowing that him and Michkov could have been their bright future together.
I know the whole situation was weird, but I’d still be so bummed.
    Thanks PHI 🙏🏼

  3. I know it's biased as an Avs fan. But Cal Ritchie is an honourable mention. His team was dead last while he was injured. And then he came back, and now his team is n the playoffs. 25g 49a 74 points in 46 games. I'm excited for him.

  4. Ethan Del Mastro is a top 25 prospect. He will be one of the very best shut down defenseman in the NHL for a decade

  5. As a Yotes fan, I'm quite excited about Daniil But and Dimitri Simashev. Both physical monsters at only 19 and playing against men in the KHL. They'll be ready once they join the NHL.

  6. Way too low on Nikishin. I would argue Nikishin is currently the best d-man prospect. I don't know why you are clowning Graig Button when you have takes like that. 🤷‍♂

  7. honestly i think musty should really be on this list personally. leading ohl in points per game and has a huge physical presence. amazing player imo

  8. As a Habs fan since the 1990s, I might sound biased, but I really think Lane Hutson should be ranked a bit higher with what he has done for Boston U. against grown up men and his incredible performance at the world Juniors.

  9. Pretty sure logan mailoux has more or the same amount as wright as a dman.. im not very confident in wright

  10. No Reinbacher? The kid been playing pro since he was 17. He’s on a dog crap team this year . He should be at least in top 25. Nice list tho, always appreciate your work
