Robertson has been beaten out by Bobby McMann and Pontus Holmberg who both had less opportunities. Robertson has been in camp how many years and cant make it in the top six. Time to use the the roster spot on someone who can fit the need of the team
We've had both Sebastian Ahos on the ice at the same time during Canes/Islanders games this season, so I'm ready to see both Elias Pettersons suit up for Vancouver in the near future.
Just admit that Arizona can't work as a hockey market at this time and look elsewhere. There are two markets in Atlanta and Salt Lake City with plans to build an arena all lined up, waiting on confirmation for an NHL team before proceeding.
How about at least some trade rumors about a playmaker for the Capitals and Ovechkin? I don't hear anything. Zegras to the Capitals for Ryan Leonard? Malkin to the Capitals for Ryan Leonard? Is there anybody who can be traded to the Capitals to pass to Ovechkin?
Oldest management trick in the world. Limit a young players ice time, the player has to sign on the cheap, once signed, the player gets the ice time. If Robertson was playing then his next contract is worth more. Can't complain about about anyone wanting more money. Nick said the quiet part out loud. Robertson wants to play, he would go to any team that gives him more ice time.

Great Video, as usual, Mike. It's Big News on Ryan Johansson situation. I was hoping that he would be Waived for purposes of Contract Termination, etc., & then be signed to a minimum contract by My Rangers, but, with this news, it's crazy. This, as you said, is so much like the Evgenyi Dadanov Trade, that's one of the reasons that Pierre Dorian got fired. I don't know what to say at all about Erik Karlsson issue. I don't think that Kyle Dubas ever expected him to score over 100 points again this season. I think that Pittsburgh has too many of bigger problems. While they're still trying to Win, they need to make so many more moves, I think that EK Trade is likely the last thing on his mind. Let me know what you think
Robertson isn't very wise making comments like this. If he quietly spoke to management and requested a trade, they would have an easier time finding him a better fit, but now he's made it known publicly that he's discontent, and may make it more difficult for the GM to find a good deal for both sides.

Re: Habs & Zegras: I'm not sure he's the answer to getting the team to "the next level"….don't get me wrong….he's got talent…BUT is he what Habs need at this point in their rebuild???
You are correct in stating that Habs have ample draft and even prospect currency and my thinking is they need to use that currency to trade for a couple of bonefide, high-end talents to make them more competitive next season. They didn't really progress from last season in points….pretty much the same result this season (within a few points). They'll be in the draft lottery once again and frankly they don't need more picks….they need top end competitive talent. The big Q is, where are they going to get such talent? Who's available? Who'd fit in with the team? Which team with such high end players need picks or prospects and would be willing to trade?
We'll see what unfolds going forward BUT it is time for Kent Hughes to make a splash at the draft.
