The New Jersey Devils lost to the New York Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Monday March 11th, 2024 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.
Things got UGLY once again.
Matt Rempe is the BIGGEST COWARD IN THE LEAGUE!
He ducked fighting MacDermid all game, and then gets kicked out of the game yet again for a dirty elbow to the head of Jonas Siegenthaler.
He hides behind the refs yet again and avoids the beating Kurtis MacDermid was going to give him.
I hope this clown doesn’t ever step foot onto an NHL rink again!

Hey my guy, I would understand if you may be the wrong person to ask this question, but would you happen to know the best way I could try out for the AHL, specifically the Utica Comets? I know my chances are slim to none, but since I'm almost done with college and college hockey, I want to continue my hockey career by being as close to the Devils as possible. I already see I will never make the NHL, but I want to try to get close enough though because I am passionate and love this team, and I am tired of sitting on my ass wanting to do something for them despite the fact that I can't since I am practically nonexistent in the eyes of everybody. Is it possible you may know some people that are willing to give me a chance to show myself off? I know I probably sound desperate, but if I have learned anything in life, it is that you get no where if you don't ask questions or have the resolve to get to where you want to go. Jack needs to stop trying to make fancy plays and causing turnovers. Luke needs to take a seat a game or 2. The team has a lot of work to do this off season including getting tougher. #firefitz
I’m so sick of losing I can’t wait for this season to be over. Massive changes need to be made. I’d love this team to go out and get a Brady Tkachuk and I use Bratt to get it. Too many of our guys have disappeared in these big games this season. Mercer needs to be dropped. Bring up some of the AHL guys and let them have a run out

Yup Rempe acted like a total rat tonight. Dodged MacDermid, threw a cheap hit, then taunted MacDermid. I had hopes Rempe was gonna be a legit tough guy but I think he showed his true colors tonight.

Yeah, Rempe behaved like a punk today. I understand not fighting in the first because I expected him to fight later in the game. The headshot is unforgivable and warrants a suspension and he should have respected the code and fought then. He has a lot to learn if he wants to stay in the league. I was kind of hoping the Devils would be able to score a couple of goals on that major to really hammer the point. At this point he should be demoted to the AHL for the rest of the reason because he's going to cost us with these stupid plays in the playoffs
You predicted that Rempe would duck and run away scared. I am happy and proud that Devils are not backing down from the Canes or the Rangers. We are right there in these games if we had a real Power Play and if Fitzgerald would have fixed this glaring problems.
The failing Power Play is beyond missing Dougie Hamilton. This fault is on Fitzgerald. They also have to get Luke and Jack off of the same line. And the coaches have to have the balls to make Luke Hughes a healthy scratch and replace him with Santeri Hattaka for at least a while.
Why would Rempe fight when Mcdermit chooses it’s up to his discretion .The Devils are dead and buried why give them life or momentum.We listen to our couch and are rewarded with the playoffs you guys included slowly becoming a bust Jack Hughes

To answer your question rempe will absolutely be back after his suspension but I’d imagine laviolette and the coaches are gonna tell him to chill out with the charging and def has to make sure his elbow is tucked in and shit like that cuz he can actually play in a 4th line role
