I can’t believe that fuckin scumbag Todd Bertuzzi was allowed to play in the NHL ever again

  2. Fuck Bertuzzi. His career should’ve ended when he ended Moore’s.

  3. I am still pissed about the Brad May signing. I’ve heard of some people who stopped rooting for the Avs after that.

I wonder how Steve is doing these days… I hope he’s gotten to live a relatively normal life. I know he was dealing with post concussion symptoms for a long time.

Still think Bertuzzi should have ended up in jail for that

Näslund, a close friend of Bertuzzi’s, later expressed sympathy for him, saying in a 2008 interview, “It still bothers me what Todd has had to go through … There’s no question he was standing up for me … it all went too far.”

I know I have my world’s tiniest violin around here somewhere but I’ll be damned if I can find it

I live in Vancouver and Canucks fans still have the audacity to make excuses for this classless act.

All Bertuzzi’s are villains to me after this bullshit!

Damn. We’re getting old. I was watching that game at a sports bar with friends in Denver. That was a horrible night.

    Fuck Todd Bertuzzi

All my homies hate Todd Bertuzzi

I was listening on the radio that night before going to school the next day. It’s really been 20 years? Also… Fuck Todd Bertuzzi!

Anyone with the last name Bertuzzi should be banned from the NHL.

I remember I stopped watching after the 2nd period because I had to wake up early for school the next day, and the Avs were dominating, so i thought what’s the point to keep watching.

I remember waking up and my mon handing me the front page of the Denver post to show me how the game ended and I was in complete shock

I remember hearing about this on the radio the next morning and jumping out of bed to watch SportsCenter before work.

  14. Canucks still piss me off and I yell at the other Bertuzzi too.

No one deserves what happened to Moore, but the guy literally elbowed Naslund in the head on a dirty hit and then wouldnt answer the bell…if he just fought a normal fight like any other nhl player it wouldnt have come to this. Again not condoning Bertuzzis actions, but if you throw a dirty hit against a star player you better be ready to stick up for yourself… not keep running away like Moore.

Dude went to Harvard and was left with permanent deficits due to a traumatic brain injury from a premeditated assault. Such a disgusting travesty that has marred the NHL irrevocably. Everyone, including Marc Crawford, involved deserved career ending and criminal punishment. It is a unique game and “things happen,” however, the facts behind the incident of what was said and planned by multiple people in the Canucks organization sets it apart. But the fan base is amongst the worst in all professional sports and leagues and can only be rivaled by those in developing nations that still murder officials after unfavorable calls. It is the reason I’m happy the Sedin twins and Luongo never won a Stanley Cup. Vancouver Canucks deserve every heartbreak imaginable and hopefully will eventually be relocated.

Still makes me mad to this day.

Bertuzzi being allowed to play ever again was outrageous

I don’t think the NHL has learned its lesson. Look at what Wilson did to Panarin a few years back. That could have been so much worse. How many times will this league make the same mistake? And pay the consequences each time?

I was only a young kid at the time, but we were having a party and everyone was watching the game. Yet I’ll never forget the look on everyone’s faces when it happened. They knew it was bad.

  18. Not only do I think Todd should’ve been banned for life, I don’t think Tyler should be allowed to play in the NHL for being related to him. It still makes my blood boil that he was allowed to play after that.
