  1. I love it… Allvin and rutherford just trolled a bunch of fanbases, and the Canucks haven't given away the next 5 years. I feel that if one is mad that we didn't get anything more, you might be being a bit myopic. We are not the Oilers with a closing window. Our window is just opening, and look at the prospects we have in the pipe. The future is bright, and we still have podz, hogz, an extra petterson and a lekkermaki, and of course the current core for a few years.

  2. I am actually quite glad. We have sucked for so long. We just need to be in this for the long haul, and not be tempted by every flash in the pan success. The Vancouver Canucks are good!

  3. This makes me glad that I basically ignored all the chatter, and didn't waste my time fussing about things I can't even change. I hope the players did the same. I am not disappointed.

  4. Didn’t do anything? What about Lindholm and Zadorov? Everyone seemed thrilled when those two trades went down – now that Christmas is over, the kids feel ungrateful and want more. I think Canuck Fans are just being greedy. We are in first place and just went through a very short slump and the fans are freaking out. The worst thing Vancouver could have done is pick up expensive rentals and blown up their chemistry.

  5. If the Canucks got zadorov and Lindholm today you guys would all by jerking each other off. They’ve been making more moves than anybody all year. They’re fine.

  6. Not signing Kessel was a great move. He was only good enough for 4 appearances in last year’s playoffs and didn’t exactly dominate. A year older and slower. He has been available for 9 months and no one wanted him for free.

  7. I'm 100 percent ok with no moves. Our assets are worth more than 1 playoff round victory. We are not winning the cup this year anyway, even if we did make a splash. Our team needs playoff experience first. Only then can we think about bulking up our roster in the next 2-4 years during deadline day. Enjoy the regular season success and the playoffs for now.

  8. Nah everyone is overreacting. The kuzy contract was medium risk high reward, sadly it didn't work but it happens. If we made all the trades today everyone would be over the moon. Bought our Christmas gifts early that's it.

  9. At the beginning of the season I was thinking if they make the playoff that would be a positive step in the right direction. Obviously they have overachieved and now the expectations are higher. I don't see them beating the Oilers or the Knights in the first round. So I am happy they didn't make any more trades.

  10. forget Kessel – Taffoli is the guy they could probably have gotten straight up for Kuzmenko (who has 2 years on his contract) instead of giving away the farm for Lindholm – who is also just a " rental " since his contract is up this year. They gave up so much to get Lindholm – who's metrics aren't even as good as Kuzmenko's – they had nothing left to put up for anyone else. Makes me puke.

  11. I’m happy I think they can give a good push for the cup this year they have everything they need they don’t need to give anything up to get better we have what we need now

  12. i have 2 views as a die hard fan. managment takes this year as luck and, believes there isnt a move we can afford and be true contenders in our contract situation. 2. managment was narrowminded on penguins players and, majorly dropped the ball

  13. great job jim and patrick, made one trade and got fleeced, for player who doesn't even fit lol

    great deadlines guys 😂

  14. The Canucks signed Cole, Soucy, Lafferty, Zadorov, Lindhom and DeSmith; not to mention the addition of Hronek this year.

    This hardly classifies as nothing.

This team was projected to battle for a wild card spot and now people are upset because they didn't make more moves? This team's core is signed for the next few years. Their window is just opening. The city finally has a management team that knows what they are doing and now all the arm chair GM's think they know better 😂.

Trust the system and enjoy the ride. People can complain that other teams loaded up but at the end of the day, only one team will lift the cup.

This season has already been a success so anything else is gravy.

    Go Canucks Go

  15. I honestly would have been happy if they just grabbed Ryan Johansen for FREE at $4m cap hit yesterday. But they didn't even do that. They really dropped the ball this trade deadline because they were too focused on just the Penguins and Guentzel. When that failed, they have no other plans in place.

Cap hit? Who cares! That never stopped the Golden Knights one bit, just use LTIR. Not using all loopholes to maximize your chances at the Cup is a management fault. You might be honorable, but do you think Bettman's biased refs will be honorable? We are up against cheating Cap Space and cheating Refs at the same time.

What didn't we grab Johansen and put Myers on LTIR? It is so obvious.

  16. I'm happy crybabies like LegoRocks are proved that they can never manage a hockey team and all opinions like his are virtually worthless. Like come on, if you were destined to manage a hockey team, you wouldnt be making youtube video's Toffoli is 32 and washing up. How many different systems has he played over the years before he starts to burn out?

  17. I think most people are ok with them doing nothing , myself included. A lot of teams made themselves "better", but only one team wins the cup. One thing is for sure, the playoffs are gearing up to be something special this year, all around.
