Glad Necas is still here

With all the trade deadline talk I was a little worried Necas would get the boot. Thankful I get to see this guy dance on the ice in a Canes jersey a little longer.

    Don’t remember these CCM jerseys

There was zero chance with how he has been playing. We need him in the playoffs, and he is worth more to playing with us. I mean unless the offer was like McDavid it was unlikely.

I was quietly shitting myself out of anxiety he’d leave us – he and Jarvy are my favorite Canes players and I hope he sticks around.

Glad we kept him too. Can’t spell Canes without Necas

I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I really wanted to see him traded. He disappears in the playoffs and is really only so-so in regular season. People keep hyping his potential but he’s likely nearly halfway through his career already. He also seems to really balk at physical play and seems to turn meek when play starts to get rough.

People are absolutely insane when it comes to the trade deadline. The notion that necas would be traded for a rental is so silly

I think Nachos is going to only shine even brighter with koozy and Guentzel out there. We know what happens when he has ice to work with lol

I hope he’s here for the long haul, he’s special

Necas deserves a chance to show up big in the Playoffs.  A first line of Guentzel-Aho is going to draw shutdown lines.  Necas will be on a line where he is not the focus.

Necas thrives with space and time.  There is less space and less time each round of the Playoffs.  Great player can rise above that.  All the pieces are in place for Necas to prove his value to the team.  Otherwise he is a prime trade candidate this summer.
