  1. first comment. If the nucks can get Jake at the right price that would be awesome .

As far as cap circumvention goes: what about having a third party doctor evaluate the players on LTIR every couple of weeks? That way if a team is holding out to get to the playoffs but the third party says hes good, then he has to go off LTIR ( IE: if you gross overspend because of LTIR and one of your players gets healthy before the playoffs, someone that you don't want to put on waivers is going on waivers, to make the cap work ) maybe give a one week grace period or something because of the unknowns, but at least a team couldn't hold a player back whose ready just so they can have 15 million in extra player value in the playoffs.

  2. I hope Vegas gets Guentzal so we can move onto Toffoli. lol Maybe we get Zucker on top and trade out Mikheyev. I’d be satisfied with that.

  3. Lindholm definitely wouldn't want to be here after this rumour got leaked. What a PR nightmare. If it's just a rumour, management should have nipped it in the butt. The fact they haven't leads me to believe they are shopping him.

If they can't land Guentzel, they need to move Lindholm to another team or risk having a lame duck player on their roster.

  4. Vegas should just send their whole team to the LTIR I guess we are signing Guentzel in the offseason then

  5. VGK management is focused on winning. They will do all that necessary within NHL rules to win. Can’t let emotions control decisions.

  6. I still feel good about this. Let Jimmy cook. 🧑‍🍳 Good things come to those who wait. If there’s this many moving pieces – it will (and has) take a bit more time to put together.

  7. Vegas doesn’t consider any of their picks or prospects untouchable. It’s what makes all the difference

  8. This is why newcomer Vegas has won the Cup and the Canucks never. Instead of acquiring defender Hanifin, the Canucks got another forward and potential dud in Lindholm. Prediction: Vegas wins the west again.

  9. Reilly Smith to Boston for Jake Debrusk to the Pens. Elias Lindholm from Vancouver to the Bruins for something. Jake Guentzel (50% retained) to the Vancouver Canucks for Nils Hoglander and either Tom Willander/Vasily Podkolzin or a 1st. Nils Hoglander and Jake Debrusk refresh the Penguins.

  10. The whole thing with Martinez is true.

He had a leg brace thing in a photo back on February 20th and hasn’t been playing well since.

  11. As soon as Martinez go on LTIR Thursday, VGK will have almost 9M in cap space. Guentzel and Buchevich both inbound to Vegas
