Swedish Giant VS Rock Climber – Who has the strongest grip?

Swedish Giant VS Rock Climber – Who has the strongest grip?

In the Deep Swedish Forest lives a man who is unlike anyone you’ve ever met according to local rumors this 2 m giant has a strength of three men combined his name is Kim Johansson and this is definitely not your average guy over the years I’ve tested the grip strength of

Some of the strongest men on this planet and spoiler alert this is the strongest grip I’ve ever encountered today I’m going to challenge this Behemoth of a man to a grip strength contest almost like David took on Goliath although though I’m not sure the outcome will be quite like in The Saga you’re pretty big in real life I I saw you on Instagram and I thought you’re big but I didn’t realize how big you are yeah that’s how it turned out I I suspect that you might be the strongest guy I’ve ever had doing this

With me Kim is one of the strongest guys in Sweden and I would say you’re pretty unknown but when I checked out your records like I was blown away oh right this is amazing so we’re going to do a grip comparison and see who’s stronger I

Don’t think it’s going to be much of a comparison though I like this is what you do for a living pretty much well you’re a plumber though right yeah yeah I work as a plumber daytime but uh in competition this is what I do for a

Living what do okay how big is your hands look at that oh well yeah bigger a little bit bigger yeah what what what did you eat growing up to get so big what is a Swedish diet like meatballs and of Meatballs yeah meatballs and pasta and

Pizza pizza I think the heav I’ve seen someone LIF on this is around 80 kilos that was Larry Wheels uh yeah you don’t have to reveal what you can do I’ll start with the baby weight 50 Kilos so this would be 53 kilos and yeah that’s a normally when we do these videos we start a lot lighter but uh I don’t think we have to start that light with you so yeah how much do you weigh what does it say 162.5 big big boy yeah let’s put on

Another 10 kilos maybe this is already close to my Max okay good nice yeah I think you can basically curl that you know come on yeah yeah it’s approved that’s approv what’s your personal best on this one I think it’s around 68 I don’t think I’ve

Been able to lift my body weight quite but uh have you lifted 70 I don’t think I’ve lifted 70 now oh you will today maybe I will today yeah there’s like no difference between 50 60 and 70 for you we are going to do some more climbing specific things so like

We’re going to do the half crimp I think it’s going to be a little bit more even than this I think before we do that though we should try this thing have you tried one of these before yeah I think but I don’t remember I don’t remember

What I got they’re all a little bit different this is a little bit different than the other one I did and also I have learned that you can’t do this so you have to hold it up like that the whole time that’s what they say okay I’ll try

It first see how much I can get how many kilos Chuck up for this okay 70.1 okay I don’t know why I’m getting nervous I want a good number you Know ooh 102.7 Jeez this would be a PR I think for me I always forget what I’ve done before I think I’ve never been able to lift body my body weight actually do you have a scale here just to see if uh it is actually body weight cuz I’m like up and

Down a little bit oh I’m actually 70 74 70 74 it’s with shoes and with shoes and stuff so it’s probably I’m probably like 72 maybe come on squeeze with your thumb also no I think this would be the heaviest that anyone’s lifted on my channel I think Larry did around this weight

Yeah oh my God yeah it looks like it’s 20 kilos or something yeah I feel my left thumb now yeah but you can just do it with one yeah I can do it the right maybe we add 10 10 it’s 90 3.3 yeah so that is by far the heaviest

Anyone’s lifted on my channel can you reveal now what is your max what is the heaviest you’ve lifted on this I never tried this one before okay but I have lifted with some kind of rolling handle somewhere over 100 yeah wow and how many people lift that weight are you the

Strongest in this in Sweden in Sweden yes yeah I’ve done this with a lot of strong men and uh I’ve not seen anyone be close to this so uh yeah so this is 98.3 kilos yeah we will try maybe I should try some of your shock you should

Try my chalk this is uh it’s a good sh this is the best chalk and I have my own chalk it’s called the mag dust right and it is actually the best chalk so right right right yeah it feels gry yeah yeah nice are you going to break the magic H

100 you think yeah yeah 103.3 kilos yep yep oh my God yeah that is really impressive good job jeez I thought I would beat him in something at least but uh I don’t think I can beat him in anything yeah no that was uh it’s been humbling so far I think

The other exercises I’m going to try maybe I can maybe the Hub but I don’t know like he’s so much stronger than everyone I’ve done this with it’s Crazy so I think we’re going to move on to another exercise that hopefully is going to be a little bit better for me and that is the crimp what do you feel about this holding this without without the thumb so just like that yeah yeah this good yeah so this is the most

Climbing specific exercise and if I can’t beat you in this there’s nothing I can beat you in okay nice yeah I can feel how it feels with the yeah the right feels a bit more stable as usual that looked pretty easy so far so I don’t know if I can beat him

In this either okay so now we’re at 83.3 kilos this is not looking very promising okay how much should we go up five or 10 kilos 20 kiding I’m just kidding let’s just try 10 kilos whatever so I did this exact thing with the world’s best

Climber about a month ago I think he stopped at around 70 kilos or something like that and now we’re already at 88.3 I think yeah right but that’s also not a fair comparison you know because I weigh 160 kilos that is true but still I mean I think it’s pretty amazing the strength

That you have even if you’re a very large man so it’s 60 yeah it’s 83 so 93.3 kilos jeez chalk up yeah no I really have to chalk Up ni that’s too much okay let’s see I’m nervous no way oh my God he’s holding so easy too yeah yeah yeah y y y That’s My heaviest lift ever you did It oh oh jeez oh I’m getting dizzy I think I’m also going to stand on the platforms yeah just have a little bit more height it’s cool to do this with someone as strong as you because you also really push me you know normally I stop at the

Weight because the other guys can’t do as much but now I’m like know I want to see your max a bit more then a bit More I think I got it I just um okay the right hand is definitely stronger I just need to try one more time do you want to try 2.5 more yeah just to break the 100 barrier just to finally injuring myself somewhere yeah I know for a fact that

This would be the world record on this this PL hanger oh yeah I mean now I’m nervous this is because not a lot of people have tried it on this I think we’ve broken probably like five World Records already on this oh my God guys that is incredible

Man that is really cool thank you damn I’ve not seen anyone close to that maybe I can try a bit more yeah if you want I mean just don’t yourself yeah well that was not limit but uh yeah we’re happy there I think you should stop there I don’t want to

Okay so that’s the world record now on the split Tanger should I bring the scale here I can yeah we could do that actually so we’re actually going to weigh it to make sure that we the weights are accurate oh yeah it’s on the do it’s

Even more than we thought on four too right so that’s a new Record Rolling Thunder I mean I guess for us it would be natural to talk Swedish but you said earlier that you don’t understand my Norwegian dialect no not very much and uh other people don’t understand yeah I I come from Bergen originally and we have a little bit of a strange dialect

So when we came in today he said that normally he understands Norwegian but not me but I I would understand you though perfectly well yeah it would be monologue yeah okay so now we’re going to try the Hub this is a classic you’re not allowed to grab it like this you

Have to hold it like this somehow either just straight down like this or with a tuck thumb like that or what Adam Andra invented the octopus grip which is where you kind of use these fingers on the side so we’ll start at 22 kilos normally I start way lower with people on this

Yeah but I have the feeling we can start at that weight yeah that doesn’t feel that doesn’t feel good I will try just this yeah works I think last time I did this I did 28 so now we’re at 24.5 Right yeah that that one is actually better yeah the octopus way I didn’t suspect that because I thought you can never squeeze your fingers did something like this y easy I want to try the octopus way too now well I wouldn’t say easy man no my left arm is not strong enough

And my right yeah that happened again oh it always happens come on yeah nice yeah it’s uh close to the Limit it’s close to the Limit yeah I feel I lift carefully you should break the 30 kilos though get it yeah nice yeah that’s a good grip though the

Octopus way yeah it works for me I mean logically you squeeze your fingers to the side doesn’t feel good but when you hold it it feels the best I think come On yeah yeah yeah that was valid yeah 32 kilos it’s good to lift it higher but yeah 32 kilos that’s amazing I don’t know actually I have no reference point I’ve never seen anyone lift 32 kilos on the Hub okay so these are the weights all lined up from 31 kilos all the way up to 78 kilos is that the official no not the official but that’s a Thomas inch dumbbell weight a lot of people call that the Thomas inch dumbbell because it’s the same handle it’s the same

Weight yeah but it’s just some small measurements that’s off from a uh replica you know and you’re a humble Scandinavian that’s why you won’t call it the Thomas inch dumbbell probably I know because I have called it the Thomas inch before on social media and I have

Got people telling me it’s not you got called out okay yeah okay I’m going to start with that lightest one okay easy easy should I try that too I don’t think you okay now 42 kilos yeah looked easy yeah pretty easy still so I’ve seen people left the

Thomas inch dumbbell before you know OD old yeah I competed with him you did okay yeah honold and he seems to only get stronger too even at his age all right 53 kilos yeah now it’s starting to get hard I see you curl your arm that’s when when it get heavy

You do that naturally when it’s yeah when it’s heavy you try to curl your arm up okay how many people have lifted the the real Thomas in dumbbell would you say a lot of people have lifted it from the ground yeah it’s more how many have

Lifted it cleaned it with one hand and pressed it okay that’s fewer oh can you can you do that I have done that I couldn’t do it today because I’m not in season for that but uh I have done it with this dumble yes do you want to do

The 64 yeah I can I can do it nice okay now I’m going to try the 64 with my left arm that’s my weaker arm should we move the we could move the others now this is going to be hard I think no I have to do my stronger

Arm yeah I don’t know it’s off the ground off the ground okay so I guess the big boy I I can’t do this I I’ve tried it before there’s no way should we maximize the chances yeah sure all right let me just get the oh liquid shock liquid shock yeah does that actually

Help yeah it helps it’s does it have Tacky in it not tacky it has some kind of adhesive keep rubbing it and don’t forget the thumb yeah and keep rubbing it until uh it’s dry that makes it kind of sticky I mean I’ve used used this for

Climbing a bunch of times before yeah but uh don’t stop rubbing it keep rubbing it until it dries that way it’s kind of get sticky you know okay that that is a good tip it’s not uh um in grip competitions it’s not allowed to use oh do I still keep rubbing it Orin

Is coming off I think it’s good and now when you lift yeah stand a bit over the dumbbell so you have it way under you MH and try to take it your back P against the globe and tip it up forward so it kind of stands up okay and then you lift it

Standing oh yeah that works yeah yeah yeah wow well jeez there you have it yeah you don’t even use the technique you showed me you just LIF it straight up yeah okay I going try it one more time just to see if it was just luck Or yeah I can control it but it’s off the ground yeah I’m going to try with my other hand too Yeah that was better yeah well yeah so I kind of do like this and I place them like this oh wow oh man that is incredible we’re going to end it there thank you for showing me make sure that you check out Kim on social media and if you want to

  1. 15:53 😂 i guess…the big boy… I can't do this
Not very often you hear Magnus say he can't do something😮
Love this video, we need more Cim😊

  2. That's what I am saying…his personality or Mr. Larry personality it is incomparable. Not much people know about that humble guy. About narcissistic people anybody knows. 😂

  3. where can I get those grip extensions, anyone knows, I can find the rolling thunder and the crimp is a bit trickier to find, but I cannot find the last circle one they grip in an octupos way…

  4. This is dumb. The giant has a huge hand so he would need to use a fatter handle to be equal to what the smaller guy has to go through. Nonsense

  5. i have competed against cim in grip contest and he is beyond strong. he also have the WR on apollon axle deadlift. 247 i think it is, wich is mental.

  6. If Magnus is 72kg and he can pull himself up with 1 arm say on a pull-up bar, how is it he can't lift 70kg weight? Since he's already able to support his own body weight with 1 arm?

  7. Seeing his body structure im not surprised at all. People think it is about how much muscle you have but nope it is about how balanced your body is and if there is a weak link in the chain. I'm 1.82 120 kg, very similar to his body structure but smaller version and my joints are much weaker. Even if i was mostly building my joints i still kept injuring them constantly then gave up trying. This was like 70% of his strength and you can see he wasn't struggling at all but he was still worried getting injured because of this. He must be working so hard to make them thicker which is the real challenge for us large guys not muscle building. My body naturally keeps a lot muscles so much so i can still easily injure myself without bodybuilding for years..

  8. M: " Are you gonna break the magic 100kilos, do you think?"
    Giant: "yeah"
    M: "yeah"

    M: "….103.3 kilos"
    Giant: "yep"
    M: "yep"
