Jonah Gadjovich, Panthers Pregame: Washington Capitals @ Florida

Florida Panthers forward Jonah Gadjovich speaks before his team plays host to the Washington Capitals on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024.

The Panthers are coming off a 1-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes after Sebastian Aho scored with 18.9 seconds remaining.

Florida saw its six-game winning streak end — as well as its 11-game road winning streak. The Panthers would have tied the NHL record with a win on Thursday.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves for Florida in the loss.

The Panthers played the final 40 minutes without Matthew Tkachuk and Gus Forsling as both did not come out for the second and were ruled out of the game.

Forsling will be back in the lineup tonight; Tkachuk took part in the morning skate but will be held out for precautionary reasons.

Anthony Stolarz will be in net for the Panthers.
