Never understood why Benning didn't sign Tanev. Now can't get him for a 1st rounder.
Imagine a game 7 and series on the line…You wouldn't want Myers on the ice and coughing up pucks or taking bad penalties costing games/series ? Trade him and a pick or Raty for Tanev. trade mikheyev for josh anderson in montreal too, size grit offense.
Just need to bring back actual 'hitting', instead of a fight breaking out over every clean 'big' hit. Yeah, clean big hits, that should be a good start to making hockey 'Hockey!' again.

Mark Stone said Kessel is one of the best teammates hes ever played with. They played 1 year together. Stone is a 13 year vet. His locker room presence+cup experience is valuable.

We don't have anymore assets to add Tanev that would make sense. It starts with at least a 1st rounder plus maybe a 3rd rounder or a prospect because there's hype…
