Avs down three going into the third, Winnipeg up 2-0 after the first, and Dallas already won today. Things are going great for us.
First round exit here we come.
Avs games have gotten so predictable. The first period is pretty good offensively but defense is loose and Georgie usually takes 10 shots to really get into a game. The second period is AHL level on all sides and Georgie usually has to keep them in it. The third period is incredible but you have to pray they don’t dig themselves to big of a hole in the first 2
Also… JOHANSEN SHOULD BE GONE. HE SUCKS.

This ain’t a cup team. We missed on the only two available options to give us serviceable depth by getting a 2C. It’s a one line team that will see the exact same postseason as last year.
Georgie finally puts up a .920+ performance and it’s because the team is giving up 38 shots in 2 periods. Jesus Christ this might be the roughest game this season so far.

Seems like we never hit anyone. Some uninspired play since the all star game. And they were fantastic before. Missing nuke but also seem to be missing grittyness. Similar to the year before we won the cup. Not sure if we need a 2c or backup goalie worse. Think it’s one or the other most likely.
if we lose this game we should make the team watch the ESPN ad 1 minute for every turnover and every pass straight to the Panthers.
I think we have to face that Cale isn’t about to bust out of this slump. He looks awful out there.. so many damn turnovers and mistakes borne of hesitation.

Teams are following a formula against us they have found works from other teams experience: 100% forecheck all the time. They know we will put in less effort getting it out than they will keeping it in. And by the time we get it out, we need a change or we just slap it out where they corral it and regain possession.

A 5 game east coast road trip right after all star game is nonsense. NHL schedulers are awful
How is the team just gonna let teammates get pushed around by the Cats? Throw down some gloves! Get intense!
Panthers have committed one (1) penalty, in 50 minutes of play
Love how we get the puck in their zone and are passive with it. Backing away from it when it comes to us and the panthers never give up pressure. The Canes did that too
