rangers since drury took over have been putting out conflicting ideas and misinformation. idk if it’s drury doing it to cause confusion or it’s other teams doing it to screw with him.

There's no reason to give up our 1st round. Especially this year with this core
Improving from Brods to another 3C option…there's no one out there that makes it worth a first. Improving from Wheeler to another 1RW option on the other hand, there are players available who ARE worth a first.
If we spend a first, it should be on a 1RW. If we aren't spending a first we could get some wing AND center depth. Then 1st round pick can and should be used on the plethora of defensive prospects available in this year's draft. Kiviharju, Parekh, Yakemchuk, Jiricek… We are so incredibly weak on defense prospects and adding any of these guys would make them immediately our best defenseman prospect. This is a fantastic year for defensive prospects. The timing for our team couldn't be any better! If we pick up anyone like them, suddenly those other pieces of our young defensive core can become trade chips. I'm sure we can all think of some names we would like to move for other options…

The way Drury has been trading he won't trade a first rounder for Henrique. Stop yelling about that and be happy the Rangers finally have a GM who values picks and prospects. If anything, you should be yelling at Zibanejad – and at Laviolette for not holding him accountable. This is criminal.
I think Zibanejad is clearly the most underperforming player on this roster. Yet he keeps getting the start at the top line center. What's with these coaches coming to the Rangers and playing favorites over and over again? I'm so sick of it.
Aprox the top 20 in this year's draft look good after that it falls off a cliff and is a total crap shoot, go look at the draft rankings, I read about the draft and the prospects every year and this year where NYR will most likely draft there is not 1 single player that excites me, they are all projected to be depth players,that being said I don't just wanna give away a 1st rnd pick but if it can get a player that can help us win a few rounds I say go for it, that pick if they ever play in NHL will be min 3 years from now he is not going to help us compete for a cup in the next 3 years. Smart trades for good return is what I hope Drury does.
I agree, I don't think the Rangers should trade away there 1st rd pick unless it's either for a high caliber player coming back or if the Drury makes it a conditional 1st rd pick. Seeing how Drury has operated the last 2 seasons, I personally feel he will make it a conditional 1st rd pick offer. I could see it being a 2nd rd turning to a 1st rd pick IF the Rangers make the SC Finals.
The only way I trade the first is if Goodrow goes along with it, that is a huge addition by subtraction.

With 55.4% FO%, 52.3% CF% at even strength & 1.8 P/60 at even strength, there are no real significant upgrades from Jonny Brodzinski at 3C that would be available with reasonable contracts.
While his P/60 is low right now, we know he can score from his time in the AHL and he'll probably heat up. He's actually playing really well right now and he's been noticeable.
