Any other NHL team Brendan Shanahan would have been fired by now and so would the coach. Brendan Shanahan made a BIG mistake to hire Treliving. It just shows how stupid and idiotic he is. The Leaf are now just a team tied in points in the bottom Wildcard spot. They are just competing with other average NHL teams – like Islanders, Devils, Penguins and Capitals and themselves – to make the playoffs. At least Matthews might score 70 goals – so that is some form of success.😀

The final goal. Brodie extremely ineffective chasing his man who then passes the puck to Engvall who Reilly is near in front of the net but doing nothing physical on so Engvall just skates away from him and puts it in. This folks is the top pairing of defencemen on the team. Going nowhere with that kind of play. Heard the excuse from previous mistakes that Brodie was tired. Well, they had a bunch of time off and they still perform like this.
This team is going nowhere, same problems plague the Leafs over and over.
