Mantha would be a huge upgrade over Appleton. Better finisher, and more physical. And he already plays in a good defensive system with the Capitals, so it wouldn't be much of an adjustment coming to the Jets. Trade Appleton and & Stanley for him.
Mantha would be perfect fit but Tanev has tons of skill. Mantha has more grit.
Idk man.. Vilardi, Ehlers, Iaffallo and Appleton is quite a good RW core imo. All we need now is Schmidt out and Tanev in haha

Ofc tanev should be a guy we target I'd give Montreal 2nd plus Lucius. I'd prefer if we added more and got rid of Pionk or Schmidts 5.9/6m dollar contracts which would give us cap to resign him.
-Idk how much Columbus would want for Provorov but he's 26 his cap is 6+ million but Philly retained so it'd 4.7m
-if we could aquire depth guys now Chisholms gone like Megna/Tinordi Chicago,or Seeler Philly. Maybe trade Stanley in one of those deals. Burroughs in SJ as 9th guy/AHL
Bring in AHL guy like Keeper,Kalynuk there's been rumors eakin might go NLA maybe he should sign on with moose.

I would absolutely love Travis Konecny & ILYA Lyubushkin if we can somehow, someway get those two.

the Jets have the best third line in hockey w captain lowry setting the teams identity ….and with the least goals agsint in the league , the maybe best goalie , and all 6 players from the top 2 lines all 1st round draft picks from their year ….. i,de say they are a worthy balance through out at the moment to take a deep cup run ….. still with 10 games or so to the trade deadline …… possibly seeing Stamkos available as a rental trade playoff prospect player this year intrigues me very much and he,s the type of guy who ,s made his money, won it all , and might take a huge gratuity pay cut like other superstars from the past for a shot at one last cup .

Tanev started his pro hockey career playing for the Manitoba Moose, so he's familiar with the city outside of just visiting when the Canucks/Flames have come to town.
They will NOT get rid of Appleton.

Kaliyev will not get any more ice time on the jets than he already is in LA. Would be a waste of a move…..but Mantha would be interesting, and Tanev would be great.
